Indian Milk Sweet or Palkova is a very rich and delightful sweet made by South Indians for many auspicious occasions. This is not smooth palkova but the grainy one. The traditional way of preparation it is time consuming but microwave makes it all easy. Traditionally, it is prepared by boiling milk in a wide pan on low heat for long time till it reduces to creamy halwa texture. Today we are going to see how it can be prepared in minutes.

Grease a microwave safe bowl(large bowl) with ghee or butter. Open the condensed milk can and pour it fully into the bowl and add the yogurt.
Keep it in microwave high for 10 minutes and stir in between for every 40 seconds.
After 10-12 minutes this will come to a good grainy consistency.
Even if it is slightly loose do not bother as it will get thick when cooled down.
The timing differs from each microwave. So, be sure if it attains light brown color then palkova is ready. Here it has been microwaved for 12 minutes.
The delicious sweet is not ready for serving.
Serving Options:
Serve the palkova along with chopped pistachios or badams. A pinch of saffron can be added to enhance the flavor.
