Hello girls! Hope you all are doing great in your lives. Delhi is getting a little annoying with the sun getting brighter day by day. It is high time to hoard some sun screens. What do you think? I am sure you all will agree in this hot temperatures. I picked up Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 30 from the most reliable brand Lakme. I have seen many colleagues carrying this and naturally fell for it. So I bought this hoping it would work well for me.

For external use only. Smooth onto face and exposed part of the skin at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Give it a minute or two to be absorbed into skin before applying any make-up. Re-apply every 3-4 hours for maximum broad spectrum protection.

My Experience With Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 30:

Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 30 comes in a plastic squeeze type packaging. The cap is a flip open type and closes tightly. It is travel safe and leak proof. The color of the lotion is white. Its fragrance is citrus, mild and cosmetic. The smell wears off within minutes of application. The consistency of the cream is light and it feels non-sticky after application. It has cucumber and lemon grass extracts and so it gives a mild cooling sensation after application which feels nice in summers. It gets absorbed completely into my skin after a little effort on massaging it. As a thumb rule, I apply it 20 minutes before stepping out in the sun. It moisturizes skin quite well and there is no need of any added moisturization. I have combination skin and I do feel a little sebum accumulating on my T zone after an hour or so of applying this cream. So, in oil control department it is average. It leaves behind a slight white cast on darker skin shades. To fix that, you can add a little blob of foundation to it. It gives a semi matte finish to the skin. It acts well as a makeup base. I have not experienced any break outs or skin allergies. However, I don't find their fairness claim being true. There has not been any improvement in my skin. Also, it is not sweat proof. So, if you are out in the sun, you may have to re-apply it every 40 minutes or so. If you are indoors, it stays good for 3 to 4 hours as per the claims. Though it gives good sun protection, it is only an average product according to me.

Final Note:

This sunblock from Lakme is average. It gives good sun protection and might be better suited for dry skin types. The cons make it a turn off for my combination skin. I am not disappointed but I am not very happy either.
