Hello everyone! How are you all doing? It's been quite long that I posted something on Diva Likes. I was caught up with flu, all thanks to the fluctuating weather in Kolkata. Now I am okay and back to this wonderful place. Today I am going to share Braided Nail Art Tutorial with you all which was requested by Lavanya. This tutorial was due long back but because of my health issues I could not post it. Braids are something that never go out of fashion. Fishtail, 3 strand, 4 strand and French braids, the possibilities are just endless. They are perfect to flaunt a chic look with any kind of outfit. We can even flaunt a braided design on our fingernails too and I am going to show you how to do it. This design looks very intricate but it is super easy to do. So let's get started with the tutorial.
Things You Will Need:
Procedure:
Apply the base color of your choice. Let it dry completely.
Apply a diagonal line across the base color with the second color. Don't worry if the line is thick. The thickness can be adjusted later. Let this line semi-dry otherwise it is going to be a mess.
Apply another diagonal line across the base color over the second color with the third color. You can see it forms a cross pattern.
Now again with the base color apply a diagonal line in the direction of the second color line just below it. You can adjust the thickness too.
Continue making diagonal lines in the pattern like first color, secondd color, third color, then again first color, second color and so on till you complete the whole of your nails.
After the whole of your nails are done, let it dry and then apply a good top coat.
Once the top coat dries you will have a nice intricate braided design on your nails.
It seems tough but once practiced it is super easy to do. Even I had to try many times before mastering it. Don't worry about the mess around the nails. Once you are done, just dip a Q tip in acetone and wipe it. You can make sure to let your lines semi-dry to avoid any mess. Also if the colors you are using goes opaque in one coat then this design will look all the way more beautiful. Watery colors will not show up properly and also get messed up. I hope you all liked this design and will try it out. The colors you use are totally your choice. Do try it and share with us the colors you mix and matched.
