Rainbow Polka Dots Nail Art Tutorial

Its been long since I did a nail art tutorial. I have so many designs and ideas in my mind that sometimes I get confused. When ever I sit down to prepare a tutorial, I fumble with different techniques and ideas. I need to thank Lavanya as she eases my problem by asking me to do a particular tutorial and then the ideas start pouring in my mind. Today's tutorial is a result of the same. Lavanya asked me to come up with Rainbow Polka Dots Nail Art and here I am. Rainbow Polka Dots Nails is perfect for breaking the monotony of just plainly painted nails. It is super easy and super fast nail art tutorial. When preparing a tutorial, I always keep in mind that even a beginner should be able to do it. I have seen many designs which are so complicated that beginners cannot even think of trying it. Some of us are not so creative and do not have a steady hand. This tutorial is easy for one and all. So without any delay let's get started.

Things You Will Need:

• A light color nail paint for base coat, preferably white. You can use any light colored nail paint but a white base makes the dot colors pop and highlights them.
• Different colors for dots. You can use any color you want. Use at least 4 colors. I used dark blue, pink, teal, yellow and maroon here.
• A dotting tool. If you don't have a dotting tool you can use toothpick or any pointed object. I have used the back end of a makeup brush because I was not having a dotting tool.
• A quick drying top coat.

Procedure:

Apply white nail paint as base coat. Let it dry completely before proceeding.

Dab your first color in a piece of paper using a dotting tool or tooth pick. Apply random dots all over the nail with the first color.

Do the same with all the colors covering the whole of the nail. Overlap some dots of different colors for a dense look. Let each colored dot set dry for 4-5 seconds before proceeding with the other colors.

Apply a top coat and once it gets dry, you are done.
