Lotus Herbals Color Dew Nail Enamel Deep Sea 86 Review

Let the blue sky meet the blue sea and all is blue for a time. The other day I was surfing the internet and came across this quote. I felt something touched my heart. Then I realized that blue is the color I am in love with. Right from my closet to the accessories box to the nail lacquer case, everything is flooded with blue. So, when I received a beautiful nail lacquer in blue shade from Diva Likes, I was elated. It was Color Dew Nail Enamel Deep Sea from Lotus Herbals brand, which claims to manufacture chemical free nail paints. Its been a week that I have applied this varnish and here I am with its review.

About Lotus Herbals Color Dew Nail Enamel Deep Sea 86:

Most nail enamels contain Acetone and Toluene that often cause skin irritation and lead to dull and fragile nails. Color DEW is a range of exciting nail enamels that are completely safe as they are Acetone, DBP and Toluene free. Packaged uniquely, they come with a flat & sturdy brush applicator. They dry so fast that you are spared from the trouble of repeatedly re-coloring your nails.

My Experience With Lotus Herbals Color Dew Nail Enamel Deep Sea 86:

Packaging: The nail paint comes in a tall cylindrical bottle with a long and slender screw cap with the shade name written on top. The bottle seems travel friendly and easily fits into place.
Applicator Brush: I am not at all impressed with the brush. I need to be extra careful while applying the lacquer with the brush, otherwise it forms streaks. I didn't expect this at all.

Shade: The shade is a beautiful bright sky blue with no shimmer at all. The color would suit every skin tone and is a perfect color for the spring. It can even make dull hands look bright. Overall, it is a gorgeous shade.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation surprised me. With just one stroke, the color comes out and with a double stroke it looks neat and clean. I don't mind applying a double stroke as it completes the look.
Texture: Its texture is a semi-gel polish and to further the effect of gel polish, I applied a glossy top coat. If the lacquer is worn alone, the shine varnishes after 3-4 days. The lacquer however dries quickly.
Staying Power: The staying power is average as it stayed on my nails for 4-5 days without chipping. It stayed for a week with no chipping as I used a base coat and top coat along with it.

I did a bit of my research to find out about the dupes of this shade. They are not exact dupes but 80-90% they look similar. They are Revlon Colorstay Coastal Surf, China Glaze Pool Party, Lakme Fast and Fabulous Aqua Blast, Maybelline Color Show Shocking Seas, L.A. Girl Flare Nail Polish Nirvana and Essie In the Cab-ana. This nail color best goes with pastel dresses and catchy casuals. I often wear this color with tank tops and jeans.
Overall, this nail paint impressed me a lot.

Final Note:

This lacquer has impressed me a lot. I am already planning to keep a stock of this shade, in case the brand stops manufacturing it. I recommend this to each and everyone, especially the ladies who love blue. You will surely fall in love with this color.
