Most of us do makeup on a daily basis. It makes us look beautiful by hiding the imperfections and highlighting our assets. When you get back home from a tiring day at work, you tend to feel lazy. There are times you don't bother removing your makeup and go to bed as it is. This can lead to major skin damages like breakouts, pimples, dark circles and fine lines. If you want to have beautiful and clear skin, it is very important to remove your makeup properly. Here are a few steps to do it the right way!
Step 1: Tie Your Hair
Always tie your hair before you proceed with makeup removal routine. This way, you can concentrate on your face and eye makeup removal without wetting your hair.
Step 2: Use Eye Makeup Remover
Do not remove eye makeup with the regular makeup remover as it can bother your eyes. Eyes are very delicate and need extra care. There are many eye makeup removers in the market and you can pick any one of them to serve the purpose. Remove the eyeshadow, kajal, eyeliner and mascara using the same. Do not tug or pull while removing makeup. Even if some of it is left out, let it be. Do not force it.
Step 3: Steam Your Face
If you steam your face, it opens the pores thus removing dirt from your face. You can use a steamer for this purpose. But if you cannot afford the time, you can use a hot towel compress. Open pores make the cleansing process easy which helps in makeup removal.
Step 4: Remove The Lip Color
Apply petroleum jelly or vaseline on your lips. Let it stay for 5 minutes. Take a round cotton pad, gently press it on your lips and slide it off. This removes even the darkest of lip colors.
Step 5: Use Facial Makeup Remover
Wipe your entire face with a makeup remover. Avoid eye area. Follow it up with by washing your face with a cleanser or face wash.
Step 6: Wash Your Face & Pat Dry
Take a face wash or cleanser and clean your entire face with circular upward strokes. Also, make sure to remove leftover eye makeup. Rinse your face with warm water thoroughly. Finally, splash cold water on your face to close the pores. Use a clean towel and gently pat your face dry.
Step 7: Time To Moisturize
Apply a moisturizer and massage it till it gets absorbed. Make sure you choose the moisturizer according to your skin type and needs.
