Hello, my lovely readers! My absence from Diva Likes has been way too long for the past few weeks. I was completely under bed rest and could hardly get up. I couldn't be gladder to think the tedious hospital days are over and not to mention the dreary tests and disgusting medicines. Although my situation is more like being grounded, still it feels so good to be back home. I can't put into words how badly I missed being here. Speaking of, today I am here with an eye tutorial post which I had done long time back but didn't get the time to pen it down. It is Purple Smokey Eye Makeup which can be worn both for daytime and night time look. For daytime, it is preferable to keep the highlighter matte and the shimmer and shine can be used for the glamorous night time look. We generally always go for the safest option of black when it comes to smoky look but sometimes switching colors looks even better. The mentioned eye makeup can be paired up with earthy blush and peach/brown nude lip color. So, let's see how I have created the purple smoky look.

Step By Step Procedure:
Prepare your eyes by applying the concealer to conceal the blemishes around the eyes followed by the primer for long lasting eyeshadow and pigmentation.
Apply the kohl on both upper and lower waterline. Draw a thick line on the upper lash line and smudge slightly with your finger to smooth out the dark color.
Take purple eyeshadow on the finger/eyeshadow brush and pat the color on the lid leaving the tear duct or inner corner of the eye.
With a blending brush smudge out the color till the crease area. Since we won't be using any matte color to blend, make sure to layer up the color twice or thrice to build up an intensity you desire. Blend thoroughly to eliminate all the hard lines.
Use a light champagne gold or shimmery highlighter to highlight the brow bone. If you are going to wear the look for daytime, use a peachy matte eyeshadow to highlight the brow bone to avoid the shimmer.
With the help of a smudger brush, apply the purple color on the lower lash line and slightly smudge it.
Apply a light layer of concealer under the eyes to wash out any dark streaks due to smoky eyes.
Groom the eyebrows and apply 3 to 4 layers of mascara to coat the lashes. And the final look is here!
