Hello, everyone! Around 2-3 years back I used to be extremely thin and lanky but thankfully from last year I have been gaining some mass. Ever since, I started practicing yoga and few workouts to stay in shape. Though I was happy with the structure, I started noticing the ugly cellulite on my hip and thighs. It looks extremely lumpy and ugly especially when I need to dress up. Cellulites are caused due to hormonal reasons, poor diet and lifestyle choices, age, and genetic predisposition. I used to apply certain homemade products but the whole procedure consumed lot of time and eventually I used to be lazy about it. Off late, the marks have been bothering me a lot. I looked for some solution and finally came up with an incredible idea of making some handmade scrub bar for cellulite. These are extremely easy to use and can be stored like normal soap bars which you can use as per convenience. So let's see how to prepare some easy scrub bars.
Ingredients Used & Their Benefits:
Procedure:
Chop the soap into small pieces with the help of the knife. You can also grate the soap or shred it into pieces.
Use a double boiler (do not use direct heat) and warm 2 tablespoons of almond oil or any oil of your choice.
Add the shredded pieces of soap into the oil. Let it melt slowly.
Add one tablespoon of the coffee powder and mix thoroughly.
Add one tablespoon of sugar and mix it as quickly as possible. From this step, the mixture starts drying up. So you have to do it quickly.
Place the mixture in a mould and press the top to set it tightly without any air trapped in it. Refrigerate for an hour.
Here's the final product.
Directions For Use:
Use the scrub bar once a day and massage with the hand for 15 minutes. You will notice visible results on your skin very soon.
You can use different essential oils of your liking like cocoa butter, and beeswax with sugar granules mixed with a soap base or mild soap bar, whichever works better for your skin. Not only cellulite, the scrub bar when used regularly removes tan and leaves the skin soft and supple for a long time.

Ingredients Used & Their Benefits:
- Almond Oil: You can use any other oil like olive oil, castor oil, grapeseed oil or any other essential oil that suits your skin properly. Almond oil or any other essential oil provides moisture to the skin and prevents it from drying due to the soapy base. It softens the dead cells and helps in removing them easily.
- Sugar Granules: Bigger the sugar granules, better the scrub will be. Do not use powder or semi-powdered sugar. Sugar granules are the best natural scrubbing ingredient. Sugar contains glycolic acid and alpha-hydroxy acid which are crucial for maintaining healthy skin. The natural glycolic acid in sugar not only helps condition and moisturize skin, but also protects it from toxins. This increases collagen production and skin cell regeneration to prevent wrinkles and other signs of aging.
- Grounded Coffee Powder: Coffee is the main ingredient in this DIY for getting rid of the cellulite. As coffee is a diuretic, it temporarily minimizes the visibility of cellulite by drawing fluid away from fat cells, essentially dehydrating the fat cells. This shrinks their size, resulting in a tightening effect from the outside.
- Soap: It is suggested to use a gel soap. It helps in scrubbing the dead cells and gives a cleansed skin.
