Even before we could realize, 2015 is about to be over. And, year-end means parties. With busy schedule and parties, it was difficult to invest so much time on makeup but then, you cannot go to a party with a boring look. So, I decided some looks which would take less time than usual. I was bored with the cat eyeliner and bold lips and wanted to try out something adventurous – something out of the box. Therefore, I decided to do a silvery smoky eye with bold lips and tried to keep the face as simple as I can. Sparkle in the eyes and matte lips turned out to be quite a good combination for me and I thought I would show you guys. Here's my party look for this New Year. Scroll down for details.
Products Used:
Face:
Step By Step Procedure:
I have applied L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Concealer and set in with the TBS Minerals Loose Powder. Though my dark circles were not fully covered, I tried to keep the eye area as natural as possible.
Next, with the Absolute Kohl Ultimate I have thickly tight lined my eyes on both the waterline and upper lash line. Make sure you use a kajal that has a lesser possibility of smudging on its own.
Then, on my eyelids, with the help of a small flat brush, I have applied a silvery frosty taupe eye pigment i.e. Chanel Safari. I have simply patted the color to adhere to my lids.
Then, I have applied MAC Embark on the outer corner. With the same brush, I have taken the color to the crease area and blended with the taupe to make it look more natural. Blend until the color looks natural.
In the inner corner, I have applied a champagne highlighter and with the help of the TBS Minerals Loose Powder I have highlighted the brow bone.
With the pencil brush, I have blended the taupe silvery color in the lower lash to have a smoky effect and lined the eyelash with a black eye shadow.
I have curled the lashes and applied Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara on the roots mainly to have a volume boost and enhance the curls.
Here is the final look.
For the party look, I have kept the bold lips and used the newly launched Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon in 12 Midnight Rose which is a dark berry red lip color.
For the face, I have used the Lotus Herbals Xpress Glow 10 in 1 Daily Beauty Crème which matches my skin tone well, hydrates the skin (which is very important for winters) and also add a certain glow for the party look. I avoided foundation to make the look pretty simple. To add a sheer touch of even skin tone, I have applied the TBS Minerals Loose Powder which controls the shine and evens the skin tone. With an angled blush brush, I have applied the Elf Baked Blush Peachy Cheeky which acts as both highlighter and blush. I have applied it very lightly to add a flush.
That is my look for this party season. Do let me know how you liked it.
