Turning 20 is a huge step in every individual's life but before that, we have so much energy that we just want to channel it somewhere. So here is a list of 20 things to do before you turn 20.
1. Take a trip on your own
This will be your first step towards embracing your independence. You will learn so much new about yourself and the world. You will also learn how to handle so many things when you go and see the world on your own.
2. First job
Life before turning 20 isn't all fun and games. To be successful in life, you need to learn new experiences and take responsibility. Getting your first job before 20 will teach you a thing or two. You can learn new skills, fall in love with working for yourself and on top of it, you will have a great CV!
3. Vote
Another responsibility that falls on you before turning 20 is, voting. We need to remove this mindset of thinking that one vote doesn't matter in such a huge country, but the truth is, it matters more than you think. You have the opportunity to vote and you should consider it as your moral duty to do so.
4. Start a project
You don't have to wait for your college to end or your job to begin to start a project, such as a book or a website. You can build and plan something from now itself. This will surely motivate you every day and will make you happy that you are actually doing something productive in your life.
5. Go out of your comfort zone
We all have some fears or insecurities, and obviously, it's easier to just ignore them and live our life, but doing this will never help us reach our true potential. You need to try something out of your comfort zone to achieve true happiness. If you won't do it now then when will you do it?
6. Go to a fest or a concert

7. Show love towards your parents
I think this should be done no matter how old you are. We love our parents but we just don't always tell them. You should start telling them how much you appreciate them and how much you love them.
8. Learn to cook
Cooking is a really important skill. You don't have to cook like a chef, but you should know basic things enough for your own survival. How can you actually be independent if you can't even make food for yourself?
9. Chase your dreams
Remember when we were kids we had huge dreams such as becoming an astronaut or an actor? Well, there is no reason to give up on your huge dreams. It all depends on how much hard work you are willing to put in. This is the time to chase your dreams and work for it.
10. Try to go abroad
Being in your own country and learning about your own culture is spectacular. But, to expand your horizons, you need to learn and experience other cultures. When you go abroad, even if it's for a short period of time, you will be amazed to see how unique each culture is. You will also learn about your own adjustment limits.
11. Volunteer
You can give back to your society by volunteering. You can work at old age homes or even with animals. Anything that you are doing for someone else without expecting anything in return will give you true happiness and will help someone immensely.
12. Stay in touch
As we grow old, we become busy. Due to this, we tend to lose contact with our friends. You don't need to be in touch with everyone, just be in contact with those few close friends that you dearly love and remove those people that have a negative impact on you.
13. Find your inner peace
In this fast moving world, we might forget to take a deep breath and relax. Just take a moment now and then to relax and find things that make you really peaceful. This will come in handy later on in life.
