Chicken and tomatoes, have you ever tried this combo? If not, this one is for you. It combines the tangy taste of tomatoes and delicious taste of chicken. Boneless chicken should be used here to enhance the taste of this curry. Needless to say, this is one recipe which you are going to make again and again once you have tasted it. So get ready for a repeat in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken - 500 grams
Tomatoes - 2(Finely chopped)
Onions - 1(Finely chopped)
Green Chillies - 3(Finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Salt - As per taste
Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder - 2 tablespoons
Coriander Powder - 1 tablespoon
Garam-masala Powder - 1 tablespoon
Curd - 1 tablespoon
Oil - 3 tablespoons
Preparation:
Take chicken in a bowl and add salt, red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, garam-masala powder, lemon juice, curd and one tablespoon of oil. Mix it well and allow it to marinate for 1 hour.
Take a pan to heat and two tablespoons of oil to it. Add onions and green chillies and fry till onions turn light brown in colour.
Add tomatoes and cook for 5 mins.
Add the marinated chicken to the pan and mix it.
Cook for 15-20 mins till the chicken is cooked properly and at the same time you also get a nice aroma.
Once cooked, remove from heat. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it.
Serving Options:
Serve the tomato chicken curry with rotis/naans. It can also be served with steamed rice or biryani.
