If you are looking out for the best combination of a sweet and an icecream together, then you are at the right place. Gulab Jamun with vanilla icecream is one of the desserts which tickles our tastebuds. Lets have a look at how the gulab jamuns are prepared.
Ingredients:
All purpose flour - One and half cup
Milk Powder - Two and half cups
Milk - 1 cup
Baking Soda - 1/4 tablespoon
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Oil - To fry
For Sugar Syrup:
Sugar - 3 cups
Water - 2 cups
Cardamon Powder - 1 tablespoon
Preparation:
Take a bowl and add all-purpose flour, milk powder, baking soda, ghee and milk and mix them to form a smooth dough.
Keep it aside for 2 hours.
Make balls of your choice of shape from the dough and keep it aside. Make sure the balls are made without any cracks.
Take a pan to heat and add sufficient oil to fry the jamuns.
Heat the oil on medium flame and then drop the gulab jamuns in the pan.
Fry the jamuns till they turn light brown in colour. Keep the jamuns aside to cool.
To prepare the sugar syrup, add the sugar and water in a pan and heat it. Once the syrup turns thick, add the cardamom powder and remove the pan from heat.
Once the syrup cools, add the jamuns to the syrup.
You can serve the jamuns once it is soaked in the syrup for 1 hour.
The jamuns should be served along with the syrup to get the real taste of it.
Serving Options:
Serve it with vanilla icecream and enjoy the jamuns.

DeleteYes...mine too all time favorite! My mom also makes same dough and makes round balls stuffed with nuts and khoya... i love gulab jamuns!
