Coming back to my favourite part of cooking, i.e., chutney. Tindora chutney is one of the dishes which tastes yummy. Its pretty easy again and takes less time. The thought of having the tindora chutney with ghee rice makes my mouth water. Trust me, it tastes heaven. Try it out and pass on your comments.

Ingredients:
Tindora - 1/4 kg(Cut into pieces)
Green Chillies - 6
Salt - As per taste
Curry Leaves - 5
Tamarind - 30 grams
Cumin Seeds - 1 tablespoon
Mustard Seeds/Rai - Half table spoon
Urad Dal - 1 table spoon
Chana Dal/Bengal Gram - 1 tablespoon
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
Garlic - 2 cloves
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Preparation:
Take a pan to heat and add one tablespoon of oil to it. Add tindora pieces to it and stir.
After 5 mins add green chillies, curry leaves and tamarind and cook for 20 mins till the entire thing gets cooked.
Remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool.
Take a blender and add these ingredients from the pan. Add cumin seeds, salt and crushed garlic and blend for one turn. Remove the chutney from the blender and keep it aside.
Take a pan to heat and add one tablespoon of oil. Add mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal. Wait till they pop and add the tindora chutney to it and stir. Add the coriander leaves and mix for great flavour. The tindora chutney is ready to be served.
Serving Options:
Serve it with ghee rice and enjoy the tindora chutney.

For how many days can this chutney be stored?
ReplyDeleteYou can store it upto 5 days. Make sure you store it in refrigerator to avoid any problems.
