Supriya from Supriya's Rasoi is our fourth guest contributor in "Be My Guest With A Guest Post". Supriya is from India and is currently residing in Kuwait. Cooking is her passion and she loves to try new recipes, most of which are a hit. She is here to share one of her favourite recipes which is close to her heart as she has learnt it from her mother. The recipe is "Indian French Toast Mummy's Way". It is a very simple and common recipe but her mother makes it in her own way. She wants to share it here with all of us.
Ingredients:
White Bread Slices - 6
Eggs - 2
Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Milk - Half cup
Fresh Chopped Coriander - generous(USP of the recipe)
Salt - To taste
Oil - To shallow fry
Preparation:
Take a bowl and break the eggs. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, milk, coriander and salt. Beat the mixture until foamed.
Now heat the oil in a pan.
Dip each bread slice in the egg mixture and place in the frying pan on medium flame(I placed 3 breads together in my pan).
Cover with a lid for 2 minutes and uncover.
Turn the slices, press them slightly and cook the other side until brown.
Serve hot hot with tomato ketchup.
Serving Options:
Serve the Indian French Toast as a part of your breakfast menu.
