Paneer is my favourite when it comes to vegetarian varities. Recently, I have tasted this starter at my friends place and loved it. Last weekend, when I was free I tried out this variety starter, paneer fingers pakora. The besan coated around paneer makes it a perfect starter with great taste. The outer layer is crispy and inside the paneer is soft. Try out and you will surely love it.
Ingredients:
Paneer - 100 grams
Chickpea Flour/Besan - 2 cups
Salt - As per taste
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tablespoon
Water - 1 cup
Oil - To fry
Preparation:
Prepare a batter using chickpea flour, salt, red chilli powder and water. Keep this aside.
Cut the paneer into long fingers as shown in the picture below.
Take a pan to heat and add oil to it. Dip the paneer fingers in the batter and add them to the oil. Deep fry in oil till its fried properly in medium flame.
Remove excess oil by using napkins and serve it hot.
Serving Options:
Serve the hot paneer pakodas with tomato sauce/coriander chutney and enjoy it as a tea-time snack.
