Leena from Easy Flavours is our 8th guest contributor in "Be My Guest With A Guest Post". She is a newbie in the blogging world and the reason behind creating her blog is to explore, experiment and express the ideas behind cooking up tasty and easy dishes. Do visit her blog to find out what's in store. She is here to share with us a recipe which is healthy and nutritious. So today’s recipe is – Veg-Keema Masala that is Soya Keema Masala. Soya being high in protein and other nutrient is equal to lean meat which is packed with nutrition. This has been cooked in tomato based gravy and tastes awesome. Its now time to get to the preparation.

Ingredients:

Soya Granules – 1 cup
Onions – 2(Finely chopped)
Tomatoes – 3(Finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – One-fourth teaspoon
Red Chili powder - 1 teaspoon(You can increase according to your taste)
Dhaniya powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander/ Cilantro – handfull
Curry leaves chopped – 2/3 springs
Oil – 2/3 tablespoon
Salt - To taste

Preparation:

Soak soya granules in boiling water for 10-15 minutes with a half tablespoon of salt.
In a deep kadai, heat oil and add chopped curry leaves (Chopping enhances the curry flavour) and then add onions. Saute till onions turn translucent.
Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for few seconds and add the dry masala powders one by one and fry in oil for few seconds making sure it doesn’t burn.
Immediately add tomatoes and salt, sauté till they turn mushy.
Drain the soaked soya granules and add it the masala. Check the salt and add chopped coriander and garam masala. Cook covered for 8-10 minutes. If you like more gravy add a little water(I have added water at this stage since I like it with more gravy).
Garnish with coriander and lime slice! Veg-Kheema Masala is ready.

Serving Options:

It goes well with roti/chapattis, dosa, rice or you could even serve with toasted brown bread to make it extra healthy.
