Prabha from Prabha's Cooking is our 22nd guest contributor in "Be My Guest With A Guest Post". Prabha has got a wonderful blog with varities of recipes. Ingredients:
Tofu - 1 cup(drained and cubed)
Tomato puree - 1 cup(made from 2 tomatoes)
Onion - 1(small)
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Cilantro - Few
Green chillies - 2
Red chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt - To taste
Rice - 1 cup
Water - One and half cups
Preparation:
Roast rice in teaspoon of oil, and keep aside.
Heat pressure cooker and add oil in it.
Splutter whole gram masala. Add ginger garlic paste saute it well.
Add green chilly and saute it.
Then goes onions, fry for a minute in medium flame. Add some salt as it helps to cook it faster.
Now, add the tomato puree add required salt, turmeric powder and red chilly powder. Fry it well in medium flame till it gets cooked and loose outs oil.
Add the cilantro and tofu, mix gently. Coat all masala in it.
Cook this for 2 mins in low flame, in between give it a gentle mix. Don't break the tofu pieces.
Pour required water, in it. Allow to boil. Now check and add required salt.
Now add rice, close with the lid. Pressure cook it, allow two to three whistles.
Allow the pressure to get off completely.
Open the lid and mix it up with fork.
Serving Options:
Serve with raitha or any vegetarian curry.
