I am back again with yet another andhra special recipe which is 'Andhra Shrimp Curry'. I have learnt this curry from my native place and it is quite popular there. It has the real taste of shrimp with a touch of the tangy tomatoes. It is the best shrimp form to have with rice. It's preparation is simple and the taste is awesome.
Ingredients:
Shrimp/Prawn - 1 kg
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt - As per taste
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Onions - 1(finely chopped)
Green Chillies - 4(cut into two pieces vertically)
Tomatoes - 2(finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Coriander leaves - Half bunch(finely chopped)
Water - 1 cup
Preparation:
Boil the shrimp by adding salt, water and turmeric powder for 15-20 mins. Drain the remaining water and keep it aside.
Take a pan to heat and add oil to it. Add onions and green chillies and fry till onions turn light brown in color.
Add tomatoes and cook for another 5 mins.
Add the boiled shrimp and mix.
