Coriander also known as Cilantro is one ingredient which adds taste to any dish. It is used in garnishing and also adds flavor to the recipes.
In my case, I use it in majority of my dishes. So, I buy 2-3 bunches at once to use. But, there was something which used to bother me. The coriander leaves get spoiled quickly. To know how did I dealt with it, read the below cook easy tip.
As we use only the coriander leaves in our dishes, remove the leaves from the stems and keep the leaves alone in a cover and store it in the fridge. This way, it will be fresh for a long time without getting spoiled.

DeleteI usually chop the corriander up, stems and all, and freeze in a ziplock bag. For short term use I use the same paper towel method.

Deletehow I store all my herbs to last long is I wash and dry them and then wrap in paper towels and store in ziploc bag - I do this with lettuce also and lettuce will last up to 2 weeks like this
ReplyDeleteThats great Mireille
DeleteI remove the roots and chop them fine and keep them in an airtight container, they stay good for more than a week and the best part is saves time when cooking, just wash them and add to the curry
