Dry Green Lamb/Dry Green Mutton is made out of the leaves which we usually use for garnishing purposes. All these leaves add great flavor to the dish. This dish can be made using lamb or goat meat. The choice is yours. Also, this dish is full of proteins and is considered healthy. A perfect starter and also a perfect side dish is what this Dry Green Mutton is!
Ingredients:
Lamb/Mutton - 500 grams
Corainder leaves - One bunch
Mint leaves - One bunch
Curry leaves - 10
Green Chillies - 5
Salt - As per taste
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Garam-masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 1 tablespoons
Onions - 1(medium and chopped)
Curry leaves - 4
Preparation:
Take the coriander leaves, mint leaves, curry leaves, green chilies and salt in a blender and blend to form a paste.
Take the mutton pieces and add this mixture to it.
Mix the mutton pieces well with the mixture and also add ginger-garlic paste and garam masala powder to it and marinate this for about 2 hours.
Take a pan to heat and add oil to it. Add onions and curry leaves and fry till the onions turn light brown in color.
Then add the marinated mutton pieces and cook for 20 mins by closing with a lid.
Check if the mutton pieces are soft, which indicates the mutton is cooked. Cook for another 10-15 mins without closing with lid till the entire gravy becomes dry and sticks to the mutton pieces.
Once done, remove from heat and serve the delicious dry green mutton.
Serving Options:
Serve the dry green mutton as a starter or as a side dish with rice.
