For all the chicken lovers like me, here is another recipe with less ingredients and best flavor. What gives a better flavor than cashews? Yes, this Chicken Cashew Curry is one delicious chicken dish with cashewnuts as main ingredient other than chicken. It takes very little of our time and effort. Though it has less ingredients and less spices it is truly one mouth-watering recipe to look out for.
Ingredients:
Chicken - 500 grams
Cashew Nuts - 200 grams
Salt - As per taste
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Water - As required
Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder - 2-3 teaspoons
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Onions - 1(finely chopped)
Green Chillies - 3(finely chopped)
Preparation:
Take a pan to heat and add oil to it. Add onions and green chillies and fry till they turn light brown in color.
Soak the cashews in water for 15 mins. Take a blender and make a paste of it by adding the soaked cashews, salt and ginger-garlic paste. You can add little water to make it into a paste. Add this paste to the pan.
After 2 mins, add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Allow it to stay for 2 more mins.
Add the chicken pieces and mix well.
Cook for 15-20 mins by covering with a lid. We need to wait till chicken is cooked and the gravy thickens and comes close.
Once cooked, remove the chicken curry from heat and serve it.
Serving Options:
Serve it along with any pulao/biryani. You can also have it with chapati/roti/naan.
