Are you ready to witness the preparation of another Indian breakfast item? Here you go.
Dosa is a staple dish in most parts of South Indian states. You can also term it as a pancake made with rice batter. This is a must-item in the street-side breakfast stalls. There are different varieties of dosa's which can be made like plain dosa, masala dosa, onion dosa etc. Let's check out how plain dosa is prepared.
Ingredients:
Preparation:
Take the batter into a bowl and add water. You should get the thickness as shown in the picture below.
The batter should be such that we can pour and spread it easily without breaks.
Take a pan to heat and pour one tablespoon of oil. Cut onion into two halves and rub the pan with one half of the onion so that the oil is even on it and also the batter doesnot stick to the pan.
Pour one spoonful of batter in the center of the pan using a circular large spoon and spread it.
It should be spread as shown below.
Add one tablespoon of oil on the edges of the dosa and keep it on medium flame for about 2 mins till the side turns golden brown in colour.
Then turn on the other side and heat it for 2 mins.
Fold the dosa as shown below and serve it hot.
Serving Options:
Serve it with groundnut chutney and enjoy the hot dosas.
