Bread Upma is a very easy and simple recipe which can be served as breakfast or evening tiffin. In this upma, I have used plain bread but wheat or multigrain breads can also be used. Variations can be done by adding lots of veggies to make it more delicious and healthy. Simmer the flame for extra couple of minutes after adding bread in this recipe to get them little crispier. Try this quick tiffin and enjoy your breakfast.
Ingredients:
Preparation:
Crumble the bread slices and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. Once they start spluttering, add the urad dal followed by chopped cashews. Add the chopped onions and fry it for couple of minutes in medium flame. Now add the chillies and fry again.
Add the turmeric powder and salt. Now add the crumbled breads and mix well.
Simmer the flame and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and remove from flame.
Serve hot.
Serving Options:
Serve with Tomato sauce or Onion Raita and salad.
