Cupcakes are small sized cakes which are designed to serve one person. The name "cupcake" was used differently back in the olden days. Then the name "cup cake" simply referred to a cake where the ingredients were 'measured' not 'weighed'. It seems that before the 1880's ingredients for cake baking were actually weighed so when recipes started to be given in 'cup' measurements, the cake recipes were named 'cup cakes' to reflect this difference. These Eggless Vanilla Cupcakes come out very soft and tastes really delicious. Lets look for the ingredients and method to prepare these yummy looking cupcakes.


Ingredients:
  • Butter - 1 stick
  • Sugar - Half cup
  • Milk powder - Half cup
  • Milk - Half cup
  • All-purpose Flour - 1 cup
  • Baking powder - Half teaspoon
  • Baking Soda - Half teaspoon
  • Vanilla Extract - Half teaspoon

Preparation:

Take butter at room temperature in bowl. To that add sugar, milk powder, 2 tablespoons of milk and mix.


Now continue mixing the batter adding little milk at a time until all the milk has been mixed up.


In all-purpose flour mix baking powder, baking soda and mix well. Now sieve flour mixture in prepared milk and butter batter and whisk well until it becomes smooth. Add vanilla essence and mix well.


Now scoop a ladle of batter in cupcake moulds or liner.


Bake at 350 degree fahrenheit for 20 mins.



Decorate the cupcake the way you like.


Serving Options:
Frost the cake with vanilla or butter cream frosting and sprinkle some sprinklers.
