Kulfi is one dessert which most of the Indians love. It is quite famous and is available in the street side stalls. I never miss an opportunity to eat Kulfi's on the street side. But home food is the best as it is hygenic compared to outside food. So I wanted to avoid the outside Kulfi and wanted to prepare it at home and eat. Also, it had to be equally delicious like the one available outside. I tried preparing Kulfi many times but it did not come as expected. I tried and tried and finally succeeded this time. Hence, I am sharing this wonderful recipe with you all. Do try and serve the best dessert to your guests and get showered with compliments.
Ingredients:
Preparation:
Take a cup of milk. Add the cornflour and bread slices by removing the outer edges of bread. Make a smooth paste by mixing them together. Keep this aside.
Take a pan and boil remaining milk until it gets boiled.
Keep stirring and add the paste we have prepared earlier. Also add saffron strands, sugar, vanilla essence and sliced pistachios.
Keep stirring so that the mixture won't stick to the pan until you get the desired consistency as shown in picture below.
Turn off the heat and add cardamom powder. Make the kulfi moulds ready and let the kulfi mix cool.
Add the kulfi mix we prepared in the moulds.
Freeze the kulfi moulds and wait for about 3-4 hours. The delicious Pista Kulfi is now ready to be served.
