Shrimp has been my favorite sea food since long. I haven't experimented much with it. The regular way of cooking shrimp at my place is making a simple curry and serve it with plain rice. Over the time, I got bored of the same thing and wanted to experiment with Shrimp Biryani. I am a pretty lazy person to go with the dum biryani process. So, I took a shortcut of the pressure cooker method and tried this out. It is almost similar to dum biryani in taste and you will surely enjoy eating it. We had this for lunch yesterday and it was super yummy. If you have sudden guests at your house and you have to cook delicacies, then this pressure cooker method biryani will come to your rescue.

Preparation:
Boil the shrimp in water adding salt and turmeric powder. Once done, drain the water and keep them aside.

Take the pressure cooker to heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil to it. Add bay leaf, cardamom, clove and cinnamon. Add onions, green chillies and curry leaves and cook for 3 mins. Then add tomatoes and cook for 2 mins
Add the marinated shrimp along with fenugreek leaves.
Add the basmati rice and mix well. Cook for 5 mins and then add 5 cups of water for 4 cups of basmati rice.
