I have a love-hate relationship with monsoons. It feels awesome to stay back home in this lovely monsoon, watching my favorite TV series and munching popcorn. But at the same time, I hate how sultry sometimes the weather can become. Whenever I go out, it turns out very humid and makes my skin look completely dull. So, it's very important for me to choose a good water based foundation to keep my skin intact for a long time. Lakme Absolute range seemed good to me, though most of the Lakme skin products are not so good to talk about. I got myself Golden Medium(03) shade as it suited my skin tone perfectly. Let's see how this one fared for me.
About Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover SPF 25:
An ultra-light, water-based, oil free foundation with Vitamin B3 & SPF 25 guards the skin against harmful rays leaving it visibly fairer, polished & vibrant with 16 hours of complete skin coverage.
Price:
700 INR for 15 ml
Shelf Life:
24 months
Ingredients List:
Nothing mentioned. Only vitamin B3 is written.
Directions For Use:
Take sufficient amount of foundation in your fingers and apply in dots all over the face and neck. Massage and blend it to your skin.
My Experience With Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover SPF 25:
I was in double mind whether to buy another Lakme skin product or not because none of them ever suited my skin. Nevertheless, I gave Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover SPF 25 a try. Firstly, I would start with the packaging. It comes in a steel colored plastic bottle with a pump tube. The bottle is not see through at all though. Overall, the packaging is okay. Coming to its texture, the foundation is neither too runny nor too tight; it just has the right texture needed. The foundation requires proper blending and you need to spread as fast as you can because it has the nature of drying up. It also gets absorbed by the skin quickly and after that it is very difficult to blend in. If the foundation is not blended properly then it might look patchy and the skin will look whitish. Excessive amount of this foundation will look cakey on the face.
The coverage is medium to good. It effectively covers the light under-eye dark circles and gives a decent matte finish to the skin. This can be very good for women with oily skin. It also keeps the T-zone oil free for a long time as well. It has SPF 25 which is perfect for summers. This foundation has only three shades which can be a problem for the people whose skin tone is a bit different. But then Golden Medium shade 03 suited my tone quite well. Given the price rise, I feel the foundation is not worth 700 bucks. Another drawback is that it has no ingredients list. So I am not sure whether it has parabens or not. Overall, this product fared okay to me.

Cons Of Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover SPF 25:
Diva Likes Rating:
4/5
Final Note:
People who sweat a lot will find this product to be a life saver. There is no harm actually trying out this product as it keeps your skin intact for a long time. Though this foundation is not bad, it isn't over-the-top as well. I would surely suggest you to give it a try!
Until my next review, love and hugs! Stay beautiful and healthy.
