Hope all you beautiful ladies are doing well. No matter for what you're dressing up – be it a party, workplace, casual, college or dinner date, every look is incomplete without kohl. It not only enhances the looks but also makes the eyes look more beautiful. I own around 7-8 kajals from different brands as I am very fond of them. I received Elle 18 Kajal With Almonds in my second Diva Likes haul, which I am going to review today. Read on to know my take on the product.
About Elle 18 Kajal With Almonds:
A must-have in every fashionista's make-up kit. Rich, black, lustrous color that will last all day long. The Elle18 Kajal gives you well defined eyes with a rich smooth finish. Enriched with almond oil, it's gentle on the eyes and suitable for even the most sensitive eyes.
Price:
85 INR for 3 ml
Shelf Life:
30 months
Ingredients List:
Almond oil.
My Experience With Elle 18 Kajal With Almonds:
Packaging: The kajal comes in a big chunky cone encased in a twist up stick. The outer packaging is quite funky and catchy. As for the functioning of kajal is concerned, I don't have any idea on how to use it when the cone will go blunt? Using eye brush for such a purpose will be bothersome. Kajal is supposed to come in a retractable or sharpened pencil. The concept of cone is totally a loss.
Shade: The kajal is pitch-black. In fact, with such a price tag, I never saw such beautiful dark blackened kajal. The moment you apply on eyes, it brightens up and the pigmentation is totally commendable. A single or double strike is enough to bring out the jet black color. Overall, in terms of color it excels brilliantly.
Texture: The texture is extremely creamy and soft and I faced no issues at all while applying the kajal on my eyes. In fact, too much layering of this kajal looks overboard on eyes. The most heart-breaking thing about this kajal is that, it is neither smudge proof nor water proof. Even accidentally if you squint your eyes, be prepared to look like a raccoon the very next second. If you splash your face with water, the kajal seeps down slowly after 10-15 minutes causing artificial dark circles.
Staying Power: It stays on my eyes for 2-3 hours provided I don't splash water or squint my eyes. I am not sure how long will it survive on oily/watery eyelids.
This particular kajal never caused any irritation, burning/tingling sensation and didn't cause my eyes to water. Though I am impressed with its jet black creamy color, the smudging and staying power is totally a dud. I will surely not buy it again!
Pros Of Elle 18 Kajal With Almonds:
Cons Of Elle 18 Kajal With Almonds:
Diva Likes Rating:
2.5/5
Final Note:
No matter how good or bad a kajal is, the main quality is the smudge proof and staying power. This kajal falls flat in that area exactly. The application is also difficult because of the cone. Therefore, you can give this a miss.
