Elle 18 Nail Pops Shade 62 Review

I am sure all of you are aware of the cute nail pops by the very adorable Elle 18 brand. One such nail color has been sent to me in my Diva Likes haul. Back in my teenage years, I remembered how I used to go gaga over the little bottles and had a pretty hard time deciding which color to choose. The bottles looked very lovely on my dressing table. As time went by, I absolutely forgot about them because brands like Maybelline, Lakme, Colorbar, etc. have introduced some wonderful nail lacquers. All thanks to Lavanya for giving me this lovely bottle that reminded me of my teenage days. Read on to know about the nail varnish.

My Experience With Elle 18 Nail Pops Shade 62:

The nail lacquer comes in a cute little pot with a screw cap that has the applicator brush attached to it. The Elle 18 girl is embossed on body of the cap and the shade number is written on top. The packaging is sturdy and cute. The color is a metallic yellow with micro shimmers. It is a little tricky shade to carry off. When I wore it first, it felt like Lady Gaga type of color. Dark skin tone people might not prefer such a color to flaunt their beautiful nails.
The brush of this nail color is just fine. I have used Elle 18 brushes before but they were better than this one. This particular one doesn't streak but it causes air bubbles. I guess their brushes differ with individual nail varnish.

It has a metallic texture. I didn't like the pigmentation at all. It requires atleast three to four coats to get an opaque look. The staying power is average as it only last for 2-3 days. If you wear a top coat over the color, it lasts a little more time. I didn't like the color much but the range offers variety of shades to choose from. Therefore, when I next go for shopping, I would not mind pick few more because of its price tag.

Final Note:

Whatever marks I have deducted, it is for the unusual metallic yellow color that reminds me of Lady Gaga. I have absolutely no clue on how to carry off this color. But Elle 18 has some beautiful colors in this range. Do check them out because you will love these cute bottles with the inexpensive price tag. Having said that you can give this particular shade a miss.
