As far as I remember, I never faced the problem of chapped or flaky lips as a teenager, except for winter season. Therefore, my lips required no attention throughout the year. As I started growing older, the lip problems like pigmentation, flaky skin, ceases etc. started. Therefore, I need to keep them moisturized with utmost care and exfoliate them from time to time. In this whole process, I require a very effective lip balm that would take care of my lips. I am so thankful to Diva Likes for gifting me this beautiful lip balm. Here's my thought on this product.
About Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm:
The intensive moisturizing formula of NIVEA Essential Care, enriched with precious Jojoba Oil and natural Shea Butter cares for your lips and prevents moisture loss, leaving your lips soft and smooth, in any weather.
Provides long lasting and intensive care.
Effectively protects your lips from drying out in all weather.
NIVEA – for lips that love to talk, smile, laugh and kiss
Price:
100 INR for 4.8 g
Shelf Life:
30 months
Ingredients List:
Directions For Use:
Carefully move the lip balm across your lips. Start on the bottom lip, then the top. Pat your lips when you are done.
My Experience With Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm:
The lip balm comes in a twist up case with a blue cap. The packaging is extremely classy and I love carrying it around in my wallet every time. The lip balm looks like a white stick, though it is absolutely transparent when swatched over hands and lips. The most lovable fact about this lip balm is that it doesn't give a whitish cast on my lips even when I apply it heavily.
The texture is absolutely creamy and slightly waxy. It glides over the lips like butter. It has a slight orange kind of smell which you will love. It won't bother even the sensitive nose. The balm keeps my lips moisturized for a good 4 hours and after that I feel the need to reapply it again. It won't survive heavy meals but it will be enough for little sips. What I noticed is that, the balm won't heal your already chapped lips but it is effective enough to prevent it. It is preferable to apply on recently exfoliated lips. The lip balm doesn't have SPF and therefore it is advisable to use it after dusk. It is definitely a great option for an overnight lip balm. Overall, the product isn't great but is okay.
Pros Of Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm:
Cons Of Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm:
Diva Likes Rating:
3.5/5
Final Note:
Nivea is no doubt a good brand with caring products. I read somewhere that you should not use SPF products at night because it has too many chemicals involved. So I often use this lip balm before hitting the bed as it keeps my lips moisturized throughout the night. Overall, it is a decent lip balm you would love to have.
