I am tired of the boring packaging of stick lip balms and their claims. It is very rare that we get to try natural lip balms from fun brands. I always get wonderful opportunities through Diva Likes to try out something new every now and then. Today I am going to review an interesting lip balm from the brand Not Soap, Radio. Never heard of it, right? I had the same reaction. It is an American brand, founded in 2002, with some amazingly good and funky products to trade in. I found out that their lip balms and body washes are quite popular. I am glad I got this splendid opportunity to try out Greeting Card Lip Balm - You're The Best Mom In The World. Read on to know how the product fared with me.

Directions For Use:
Apply the smooth ultra shiny moisturizing balm all over the lids and pucker up. This can be used underneath lipstick, lip stain, gloss, etc.
My Experience With Not Soap, Radio Greeting Card Lip Balm - You're The Best Mom In The World:
The lip balm comes in a round sturdy plastic tub with a shining grey screw lid. The pot is quite sturdy, travel friendly and looks cute as well. The lip balm, as mentioned, is a shiny clear balm and you have to use your fingers or lip brush to apply the balm onto your lips. The main drawback of pot packaging is, it attracts a lot of micro-organisms when touched with soiled hands. The texture of the lip balm is slightly waxy and it takes several strokes to apply it on the lips. After applying on the lips, it feels really light and soft. It keeps the lips moisturized for 2-3 hours. If you apply the lip balm on your chapped lips, it takes a lot of time to heal them and won't make much of a difference.
What makes the product stand out is its smell and flavor. It is a sweet flavored and has a fragrance of pear, which lingers as long as the lip balm stays on the lips. It is an irresistible urge not to lick your lips after applying it and I always end up doing that. The lip balm works wonder as a moisturizing agent underneath a lip stain, lipstick or gloss. The sad part is, it doesn't have SPF. I top it up with an SPF gloss during winter and then my lips stay hydrated for a long duration. When worn alone, the balm hardly survives any snacks or fruits but underneath any other lip products it fares really well. Speaking of its price, I felt it is slightly overpriced because there are many quality lip balms in the market at a less expensive price tag. Lastly, I would like to conclude that it is paraben free and is not going to harm your precious pout.
Pros Of Not Soap, Radio Greeting Card Lip Balm - You're The Best Mom In The World:
Cons Of Not Soap, Radio Greeting Card Lip Balm - You're The Best Mom In The World:
Diva Likes Rating:
3/5
Final Note:
Judging by the quality, it is just an ordinary lip balm but the smell and flavor makes it an amazing one. Moreover, it is a fun brand to try, experiment and gift someone. Do give it a try if you can get your hands on it.
