A very warm hello to all the readers of Diva Likes. Hope everybody is doing great and enjoying the winter season. I received Luxola beauty haul from Diva Likes recently and I am super excited about it. Today I am here with the review of a concealer called Wet n Wild CoverAll Liquid Concealer Wand. We all have one or the other problematic area on our face which we wish to cover up. For that, we use foundation. But for everyday look, foundation seems to be a bit too much. For those who do not use foundation, can rely upon a concealer to cover up skin flaws. Concealer is a multi-use product used for concealing blemishes, dark circles, brightening under-eye area and even for highlighting our face. Concealers come in different types ranging from liquid, stick, cream, powder and color correctors. It can be used over or beneath the foundation depending on the coverage you want. For maximum coverage, use it over the foundation and for light coverage use it beneath the foundation. Let's head on to the review to know if this product lives up to its claims or not.

Ingredients List:
Water, Isopropyl Palmitate, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Tridecyl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Myristyl Myristate, Talc, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, Bis Peg 12 Dimethicone Beeswax, Glyceryl Stearate, Tridecyl Trimellitate, Triethanolamine, Sorbitan Olivate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Cetearyl Olivate, Cellulose Gum, Chlorphenesin, Trisodium Edta, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methylisothiazolinone, May Contain (+/-): Chromium Hydroxide Green (Ci 77289), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Ultramarines (Ci 77007)
Directions For Use:
There is no information regarding how to use it but from my experience applying concealer is a little tricky. I suggest putting dots on the eye and then blending with a damp sponge in a dabbing motion. For acne and marks, I suggest using ring finger as the wand may get contaminated with direct contact with acne. Warming up the concealer between fingers will help it blend easily.
My Experience With Wet n Wild CoverAll Liquid Concealer Wand Light:
Packaging: The concealer comes in a tiny tube with a black twist open cap. There is a wand applicator that takes out exact amount needed for applying. It's sturdy, tiny and travel-friendly. Besides this, there is no information on the tube regarding ingredients. I got the details from Luxola website.
Shade: I got the shade Light which I find to be perfect for my skin. It is available in 3 shades, thus giving an option for people with different skin tones. Beware using a wrong shade as concealer can make you appear like a clown. So select the shade best suited for your skin.
Texture & Smell: Though its name is liquid concealer but I don't find its texture to be liquid. It has a very creamy consistency which is a little dry and thick. If you do not apply a moisturizer before using this, then it may look patchy and streaky. It may also accentuate flakiness and dry patches if not blended well over the moisturizer. It has a very faint chemical smell that does not last for long and fades away gradually after applying.
Pigmentation: The concealer is decently pigmented. I don't have a lot of dark circles around my eyes and this works great in brightening up the under-eye area. For some faint acne marks on my cheek, this does not cover completely. It just covers up the blemishes lightly without completely camouflaging them. So it can be used for brightening under-eye area and for covering light dark circles. It may not work for stubborn blemishes.
Staying Power: The brightening effect lasts for a good 4-5 hours once set with a loose powder. I basically stay out for maximum 6-7 hours at a stretch and post 4-5 hours, the brightening effect starts fading without making it look obvious.
Pros Of Wet n Wild CoverAll Liquid Concealer Wand Light:
Cons Of Wet n Wild CoverAll Liquid Concealer Wand Light:
Diva Likes Rating:
3/5
Final Note:
Wet n Wild being a drugstore brand offers a wide range of makeup products at affordable prices. This concealer is one of them. It is pocket-friendly but on performance part, I didn't find it to be top notch. It covers the dark circles but does not camouflage stubborn blemishes. It's a bit dry in texture and proper blending is needed to prevent making it look streaky and patchy. Overall it is a decent product for brightening and highlighting, but for covering blemishes I will skip purchasing it in the future.

The staying power looks good to me....but then overall it seems average!
ReplyDeleteworks average.. but it's good to see that the price isn't much as well.
