We're just a few days away now from one of the most highly anticipated events of the year - The 87th Academy Awards. Every year, there is something memorable, whether it's the most re-tweeted selfie of all time or Jennifer Lawrence falling up the stairs. But there's no arguing that the Oscars also provide a catwalk for some of the hottest looks out there. Whether you're a fan of Katy Perry's quirky looks or Ariana Grande's trademark ponytail, there are ways you can emulate the Hollywood style without breaking the bank. Here are a few tips on how you can be transformed into a superstar.
Buxom Bombshell - Adele
The 85th Academy Awards were to be a particularly exciting night for one esteemed singer who is none other than Adele. Her gorgeous sequins complemented her curvy figure perfectly, complete with statement, dramatic hair. While some were admiring her performance of Skyfall, many of us couldn't take our eyes off those wonderful, voluminous locks. To get the same look, start by backcombing back sections of your hair, before combing front sections over the additional boost you have created. Secure in place and liberally apply hairspray. Then work on the ends with a pair of wide tongs.
Casino Glamour Puss - Sharon Stone
We were all stunned when pictures of Sharon Stone looking fabulous emerged in Shape magazine. At 56, she had a body that could give most 21-year-olds a run for their money, but for some, it was her appearance in 1995 flick Casino that would be her most glamorous. The casino world may have changed today, with many online alternatives now being the preferred option, but the classic look remains the same. Ginger, don silver and gold metallics are bang on trend this season. You can also try maintaining that Peter Pan look with Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair cream.
Pop Princess - Katy Perry
Super Bowl star Katy Perry has attended her fair share of award ceremonies in her time, with each attendance more quirky than the last. Indeed, she's no Lady Gaga when it comes to experimenting sartorially, but the I Kissed A Girl singer has no qualms about experimenting with her hair – and make up. At Elton John's Oscars Party in 2012, Katy played it very bold with striking blue eyeshadow and hair to match, but somehow still managed to look demure and very unlike Marge Simpson! To recreate this, apply bright pastel shades to the upper lid, and bring them to life with dramatic kohl eyeliner. You can be extra bold by experimenting with temporary dyes, or just make like Katy does in many of her videos and don a wig instead.
