In today's world of chemical laden products, the hunt to find an SLS free face wash can be a cumbersome task. Most of the face washes available in the market contain SLS and parabens. I have been realizing off late of the damage I have done to my skin by using chemical laden products. But as the saying goes it's better late than never. One brand that comes to my mind which manufactures herbal products is Patanjali Ayurved. This brand has never disappointed me. They make some really affordable herbal products. I am in love with their Patanjali Divya Kanti Lep. It has helped a lot in making my face acne free. I trust this brand and that trust compelled me to buy few more products. One of them is the Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash which I am going to review today. I will be coming up with reviews of few Patanjali products in the coming days which will give you all a fair idea about how effective herbal products can be. For now, let's proceed with this review.
About Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash:
Made from the natural extract of orange peel, neem, tulsi and aloe vera, which cleanse gently, nourish and revitalize the skin tissues to make complexion fresh, smooth and beautiful.
Price:
60 INR for 60 g
Shelf Life:
18 months
Ingredients List:
The composition of each 10 gm is as given below :
Citrus Reticulata: 5 mg
Azadirachta Indica: 0.5 mg
Ocimum Sanctum: 0.5 mg
Aloe Vera: 0.5 mg
Base materials: Gelbase, Glycerin, Vitamin E, Diazolydinyl Urea, PBC, Permitted Color & Perfume Q.S.
Directions For Use:
Apply on wet face. Massage gently for 1 minute and wash with water.
My Experience With Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash:
The face wash comes in a regular white tube with a flip cap. The cap is tight and won't open while traveling. Many may find the packaging to be boring, but I find it elegant and cute. Everything can be ignored if the product performs well. The face wash has a thick gel-based cream like consistency. It has a faint ayurvedic smell more on the orange side because of the presence of orange in it. The face wash does not lather to foam but spreads very nicely and easily on the face. Massaging the face with this face wash feels really great because of the creaminess. Only a pea sized amount is needed for each wash. So a single tube is going to last a good time. I thought it would require a lot of water to wash it because of its creaminess but thankfully it comes out very easily without any slippery feeling.
Once washed, the skin looks completely clean with a faint glow. It removes oil, dirt and traces of makeup completely. It dries out the skin a little bit. People who have dry skin may need moisturizer post-cleansing with this face wash. But my combination skin does not need one. I guess it will work great in summers in controlling oil. It has not triggered acne on my face. Overall it's a good herbal face wash and perfect when you want to try something chemical free.
Pros Of Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash:
Cons Of Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash:
Diva Likes Rating:

Final Note:
From my point of view, it's a very nice and affordable chemical free face wash full of magical ingredients. On my combination skin, it works very well in controlling oil and combating acne. It has a nice creamy texture which makes it very easy to spread and massage. It removes all the dirt and grime along with traces of makeup and leaves skin feeling glowing and brightened. Given its pocket-friendly price tag, I would recommend this to everyone as it is completely herbal.
