Don't you agree that the weather outside is getting warmer day by day? With the summer, comes the time when we should take extra care of our skin because the sun rays can be harmful. We cannot remain at home just to escape the sun as we need to deal with our day to day life and activities. A little bit of pampering, whenever we get time, can help the skin repair and heal after facing the scorching heat. So today I have a DIY which looks simple but works great. I prefer homemade skin care items involving fewer products as they are quick to prepare and use. These days I favor organic and natural products for taking care of my skin. They are not only reasonable but also chemical free and we need not worry about any adverse effects. Let's see a simple yet effective red lentil face and body pack plus scrub. Read ahead to learn more about the preparation of this amazing pack.
Ingredients Used & Their Benefits:
Procedure:
Make a fine powder of red lentils and rice powder separately by grinding them in a mixer.
In a bowl, mix about 2 tablespoons of red lentil powder, 2 tablespoons of rice powder and needed amount of raw milk.
Mix everything to form a thick paste. I have made this pack for my hands, legs and face. You can increase the quantity if you are using it for the whole body.
Wet your hands and legs and apply this paste. For the face, you need not wet the face. Let it sit on the skin for at least 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, dip a cotton ball in raw milk and wet the pack. Start massaging the pack in circular motions with light hands. Wash it off and pat dry.
I have prepared the powders and stored them in an airtight container. You can even add honey, aloe vera or whatever you think suits you as possibilities are endless. Try this pack and say hello to your youthful, glowing and smooth skin.

- Red Lentils: Lentils is a common food item in the Indian household. We make lentils every now and then for lunch or dinner at our homes. Lentils of any kind are not only a source of protein for our body but when used as a scrub, can help in exfoliating dead skin cells thereby revealing a glowing and brighter skin. The red lentils in particular also help in removing the tan.
- Rice Powder: Rice powder has anti-aging properties which helped people achieve flawless and baby smooth skin. Its anti-oxidant properties are used for skin whitening and providing smooth skin. It has an immense oil absorbing property which makes it suitable to be used as translucent powder.
- Milk: Milk not only makes our bones healthy but benefits the skin too. Milk keeps the skin soft and supple. It contains anti-oxidants which make the skin youthful and slows down the ageing process. It contains essential vitamins and nutrients which when used regularly promise in giving healthy skin.
