Hello lovely diva's! How are you all doing? Hope you have enjoyed the festival of Holi. As we have already bid an adieu to the lovely winter, it's time to get ready for the dreadful summer. Meanwhile, I love this spring season with such a stunning weather. Thankfully, there's hardly any rush in life and I am enjoying the free time to the fullest. Today, I am going to review the almond hair oil from Patanjali. This brand is famous for herbal products and as we all know that almond is an excellent ingredient for lustrous healthy and nourished hair, I thought it is worth a try. I initially went on to buy sweet almond oil but the item was sold out so I thought of giving this one a try. Let's see how the hair oil fared with me.
About Patanjali Almond Hair Oil:
Strengthens, softens and conditions the hair and prevents hair fall.
Price:
50 INR for 100 ml
Shelf Life:
24 months
Ingredients List:
Directions For Use:
Take required quantity of oil and massage gently over hair and scalp. Leave for half an hour before washing.
My Experience With Patanjali Almond Hair Oil:
The hair oil comes in a medium cardboard box. The bottle is made of plastic which is totally transparent with a brown sturdy plastic cap having both the functions of a screw cap, as well as a click cap. The bottle, having made of plastic, is safer for travelling around and immune to falls as well. Thankfully the bottle isn't prone to leakage and hence ideal for carrying around. The hair oil has a strong smell of almond oil which really bothers my nose.
The color of the oil is exactly like mustard oil and is quite thin in consistency. I generally apply the oil on the previous night before cleaning my hair. On application, it really makes my hair greasy and I require extra effort to clean off the residual layers. You can't use the oil for finishing touches after cleansing the hair because of its oily nature and strong aroma. It provides the required nourishment to my hair and root and keeps the dandruff at bay. I have an old problem of itchy scalp irrespective of any particular season and this oil does nothing to that. If I tend to use any shampoo which is a bit harsher, the oil isn't helpful to lock the hair.
Coming to the ingredients, I noticed that the amount of sesame oil is much more than almond that makes me totally clueless. It is true that sesame oil has its own benefits on the hair, but almond oil performs exceptionally well with Indian hair. Overall, this is good hair oil if you don't have extremely dry hair that requires nourishment thoroughly.
Pros Of Patanjali Almond Hair Oil:
Cons Of Patanjali Almond Hair Oil:
Diva Likes Rating:
3.5/5
Final Note:
I like to change my hair oil every month. Mostly I make them and mix them with fenugreek. This is a good hair oil but not the best. The price won't hurt and the only relief is that it is completely herbal. You can give it a try when you are having dandruff and hair fall problems.

I guess its worth a try. You never know how it turns out for different hair problems!
ReplyDeleteSurely worth a try!
DeleteBut whenever i apply almond oil directly it makes my hair dry...Can i try this one?
ReplyDeleteThis one doesn't make the hair dry at all. In case you feel almond oil is dry, mix coconut oil and castor oil in 4:2 ratio and apply. Castor oil is great for dryness.
DeleteI use their coconut oil and its amazing..now will get this one.
