Writing posts about skin and its hydration has made me realize the importance of scrubbing, exfoliating and hydrating masks. There was a phase in my life when I took my skin for granted and did not pay much heed to regular scrubbing. As a result, the skin around my nose showed signs of dryness and became flaky very often. One day I finally pulled up a chair and devoted almost an hour online, looking for a suitable face scrub and mask. I read about the top brands and their products. Finally, I came across The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask. I have always been a huge fan of The Body Shop products. Their organic approach towards their products and its ingredients greatly appealed to me. The 3-in-1 aspect of this particular face scrub really intrigued me and compelled me to try it out. And now that I have been using it for quite some time, I am finally ready to review it for you all.

Ingredients List:
Water, Oat (Avena Sativa) Bran, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Kaolin, Honey, Glyceryl Stearate, Butylene Glycol, PEG-100 Stearate, Myristyl Myristate, Behenyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Sodium Lactate, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Titanium Dioxide, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Phenoxyethanol, Hectorite, Sodium PCA, Fragrance, Saccharide Isomerate, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid, Caramel.
Directions For Use:
Cleanse skin and pat dry before applying a generous layer of the mask to the face, avoiding the lip and eye areas. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water. Use once or twice weekly after cleansing.
My Experience With The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask:
Like most of The Body Shop products, the packaging of this scrub mask is simple and travel-friendly. The Honey & Oat 3-in-1 scrub mask comes is a circular, cream-coloured, plastic container. The principal labeling of the product is on the top of the container i.e. the cap. Underneath the main label featuring the name and other product details, there is another layer where the ingredients and additional information are mentioned. You have to peel the top layer partly to view these details. Since it was something new, I liked doing it every now and then until I finally got bored of it! Unfortunately, the section regarding method of application is missing. Hence for the first few uses I had to it verify from The Body Shop website. The yummy scented Honey & Oat scrub mask has a texture like porridge due to the presence of oats and honey as its principal ingredients. Owing to its creamy consistency, the scrub mask spreads smoothly over the face. In fact, you can actually feel the oats while applying it. However, the disappointing part is that the grainy aspect of a proper scrub or exfoliator is missing. So if you are looking for intense exfoliation, this product might not serve your purpose. But if you consider it as a hydrating mask, it is absolutely brilliant.
Each time I apply it, I feel a tingling sensation for the first few seconds but it disappears in no time and the pack gradually has a cooling effect on my skin. Unlike most of the facial masks, The Body Shop Honey & Oat scrub mask does not dry out completely. So my skin doesn't feel tight. After leaving it on for 15 minutes, I wash it off with lukewarm water. The mask comes off easily without leaving behind any residue. Post wash, my face feels really fresh, clean and glowing. And I love its lingering fragrance. It is absolutely heavenly!
Contrary to many facial masks, this one does not leave my skin parched and craving for immediate moisturizing. It indeed makes my skin feel hydrated and healthy. I have also noticed that the dry area around my nose has visibly reduced. Unfortunately, it was not really effective for my blackhead problem. But keeping aside this aspect, it is a wonderful mask which is low on harmful chemicals and can be used for quick scrubbing routine twice a week. Regularly using The Body Shop Honey & Oat scrub mask has indeed improved my skin texture giving it a smoother and radiant look.

Final Note:
To sum it up, The Body Shop's delightful smelling Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask is a superb hydrating face pack for my weekly scrubbing routine. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and radiant. But if you want an intense exfoliation, this product will need a follow up with a grainy face scrub. However, it does an impressive job of moisturizing and cleaning the skin by removing the dirt and dryness from the face. I will definitely buy it again as I simply adore its fragrance and love the way it makes my skin glow after every use!
