A makeup lover would know that there is nothing called 'too much makeup' and similarly no matter how many lipsticks you own, when you go out for shopping you would still feel the necessity of buying some more. It was wonderful to experience so many lip colors in my Diva Likes haul from the brand Coloressence. It is truly one of the underrated drugstore brands of India and provides us with a wonderful range of makeup products. Today I am going to review the last lip color from the haul called – Resin Rum. So do you want to know how the lip color fared with me? Read on to know more about the product in detail.
About Coloressence Mesmerizing Lip Color Resin Rum:
This moisture rich lip color nourishes and protects your lips from dryness. The unique coriander and basil extract with SPF-15 gives you a full coverage look with satin, smooth finish, and long wear texture. It is available in 29 shades.
Price:
175 INR for 4 g
Shelf Life:
3 years
Ingredients List:
Almond Oil, Vitamin E, 100% vegetarian
Directions For Use:
Line your lips with a lip liner. With the help of a lip brush start applying the color from the center to the corners.
My Experience With Coloressence Mesmerizing Lip Color Resin Rum:
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a black and silver casing with a sleek black plastic cap. It is the normal twist up function without any glitch or mess. The bullet of the lipstick was good and wasn't broken like another one from this brand. The packaging is lightweight, easy to travel with and fits anywhere. There is nothing spectacular about it, but it functions pretty well.
Shade: In the bullet, the shade is more of a deep pinkish purple while on the hand and lip swatch the color is a frosty mauve pink with a warm undertone. Honestly, the color wasn't very flattering to my skin tone as it made my lips look a bit darker and the frosty touch was too highlighting in the day time. The color would suit the darker skin tones better than cool tones.
Texture: The texture of the lipstick is extremely different and good than the other ones from this range. It glides very smoothly over the lips without any glitches. The texture doesn't lose its moisturization over the time and helps the dry lips. Although you do need to exfoliate the lips prior to the application, later on it keeps the dry flakes at bay.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is decent but not outstanding. You would require 2-3 swipes for a decent layer of color to appear. The color doesn't hide the pigmentation on the lips completely and hence you need to layer it more for that.
Staying Power: The staying power is 2-3 hours with snacks and beverages in between. It is not capable of surviving heavy meals and requires a touch up after proper dining. After 2-3 hours, it fades evenly on the lips without accentuating on the fine lines.
Pros Of Coloressence Mesmerizing Lip Color Resin Rum:
Cons Of Coloressence Mesmerizing Lip Color Resin Rum:
Diva Likes Rating:
3.5/5
Final Note:
For the price, the quality of the lipstick is pretty good. The color is suitable to dusky skin tones better and is a good option for daily wear for them.

From what I see from the swatch, the pigmentation could have been better.
ReplyDeleteI wish it was not in a frosty finish..
