Hello, everyone! Today I will be reviewing a lip balm from VLCC. My lips are extremely tough to deal with. They remain dry and chapped throughout the whole year. My love for matte lipsticks demands a great deal of moisturization of lips before the application of lip colors and due to this reason I carry lip balms literally everywhere. It helps to keep the dry flakes away and prevents the lip color from looking patchy. I had previously used few lip balm tubs from VLCC and they were pretty cute and hydrating too. Mostly, I loved the amazing fragrance in them. So, curious to find out about this mango lip balm? Let's get to the details.

My Experience With VLCC Lovable Lips Mango Lip Balm:
The lip balm comes in a cylindrical twisted stick form enclosed in a white plastic body and a plastic cap. The packaging is simple yet nice. It is in the form of a stick and therefore completely hygienic for usage and you can even carry it while traveling. The lip balm stick is yellow in color, in fact, the exact yellow color of a mango. Although the stick is colored, you will not get any kind of tint on the lips at all. To my horror, the lip balm leaves behind a whitish cast on my lips which you can see in the swatch itself. My lips are already pale and it actually adds up to the paleness even more.
The texture of the lip balm is waxy and nowhere close to moisturizing. When I slather it over my lips, instead of helping my dry flakes it accentuates them, making it more prominent than ever. Moreover, you will feel as if a thick layer of wax has been applied to the lips. There is a very faint aroma of mango in the lip balm and it stays for around an hour and then slowly diminishes. The texture of the lip balm is too much to handle that I can neither wear it alone nor underneath any lipstick or lip gloss.
When you swipe the lip balm once or twice over the lips, you will actually feel nothing except hard wax and slathering it again and again will only make it more. The staying power is around 2-3 hours but in this duration it does more damage to the dry lips rather than helping it. The lip balm is a total failure and I would prefer a simple tub of Vaseline over this dud any given day!

Cons Of VLCC Lovable Lips Mango Lip Balm:

Final Note:
I would not even think of ever buying another lip balm like this again and this is definitely a total dud.
