Hello, my beautiful divas! When I bought the colored eye pencils from Lakme Eyeconic, the quality impressed me to the core. Therefore, I wanted to try out the basic black kajal from the range, hoping it to be of similar quality. Black kajal is something I am obsessed about and literally pick up one from every brand to try out. It makes my eyes pop and enhances it in numerous ways. I am so addicted to it that I never step out of my house without it. Having tried from Colossal, Colorkick, Magneteyes and Magique, it was time to try out the much raved Eyeconic. Let us see how the product fared with me.
About Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Black:
This is a smudge proof, water proof kajal which is dermatologically tested. With a deep black stroke in an easy twist-up format, it gives your eyes a long-lasting, eyeconic look throughout the day.
Price:
200 INR for 0.35 g
Shelf Life:
30 months
Ingredients List:
Not mentioned.
Directions For Use:
On the upper lid, draw a neat stroke, starting from the inner corner of the eye and extending outwards. Repeat on the lower lid.
My Experience With Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Black:
Packaging: The kajal comes in a simple cardboard package. The body of the kajal is the signature Eyeconic packaging, i.e., the black body with tight shut cap. The system is retractable and you won't have to sharpen it regularly. Overall the packaging is nice and effective for a daily wear Kajal.
Shade & Pigmentation: The shade is rich and intensely black, in fact, as deep as it gets. The color is so impressive that I can't rant about it all day long! On my water lids and eyelids, it shows up extremely well as the deep dark rich stroke of black. On the eyelids, you just need one swipe and bang on! You get the most pigmented swipe. On my water lids, it requires 2-3 swipes to get the color. The shade and pigmentation are an absolute winner.
Texture: The texture is creamy, smooth and glides without a glitch. After application, it gives you enough time to smudge the look if you want and once it settles down, it doesn't budge at all. It gives a matte finish which looks pretty good on the eyes. Another striking thing I noticed about the kajal is that after one month or so every kajal starts drying up a little bit. It happened with every Kajal like Colossal, Magique or Colorkick, but it never happened with this one.
Formula: The formula is smudge proof and waterproof. On my eyes, it never smudges for 10-11 hours and after that it gives a faint look which is evitable with every product. I have washed my face several times wearing this kajal and it never seeped down my eyes.
Staying Power: The staying power on my water lids is 5-6 hours and after that it fades slightly. On my eyelids, it stays on forever until I remove it. Removal is truly difficult. None of my makeup removers could remove it completely except for coconut or olive oil on damp cotton.
Pros Of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Black:
Cons Of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Black:
Diva Likes Rating:
4.5/5
Final Note:
This one is a pure dream come true for a kajal lover. With deepest black shade, intense pigmentation and an impressive staying power – one doesn't need anything else! This is the best deal you can get.
