Vaseline is an age old name in every Indian household and we can't think of spending winters without it. Be it body lotion, petroleum jelly or chap stick – Vaseline is the solution for dry lips and skin. Every year, I buy the petroleum tub for lips but this time I opted for more hygienic choice and bought myself a cocoa butter lip therapy. I have heard that cocoa butter lip balms work great for discolored lips and so I decided to give it a try. Read on to know whether you should buy the Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy or not.

150 INR for 4 g
Shelf Life:
3 years
Ingredients List:
Octyldodecanol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, C10-18 Triglycerides, PEG-8 Beeswax, Polyethylene, Cera Alba, Euphorbia Cerifera Cera, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane Glycerin, Petrolatum, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citric Acid, Aroma, BHT, Tocopherol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate, Limonene, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499.
Directions For Use:
Apply in the center of your upper lip to the outer edges, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip. Can be worn under lip color.
My Experience With Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy:
The packaging is extremely light and simple. It comes in a twist-up cylindrical plastic body with a brown long cap that shuts with a click. It is very travel-friendly and fits literally everywhere. Overall, I am happy with the simple and effective packaging.
The stick is light creamy in color, more like a nude beige. However, when you swatch the same on hand or lips, it is completely transparent. It doesn't cast any whitish layer on the lips and can be easily worn underneath the lip colors as well. It has a delicious smell of cocoa butter which is mesmerizing. The aroma is so enriched that you would feel like licking the lips every few seconds. The smell is the best thing about this lip balm.
Coming to the texture of the lip balm, initially I felt it extremely stiff and waxy. When I first swatched it over the lips, I was utterly disappointed with the waxy layer and I could hardly experience the product. Then, I slightly warmed the tip of the lip balm and it is then that I got the best of the product. With regular usage, it becomes soft and glides on the lips easily.
The lip balm is really good for the dry chapped lips, but it isn't strong enough to heal the dry patchy lips instantly or very dry lips during harsh winters. The lip balm has the goodness of cocoa butter which has softening and nourishing properties. The petroleum jelly present locks the moisture and hydrates the skin naturally for a long time. It also has pro-vitamin E which protects against free radicals. The lip balm has SPF and protects lips from UVA and UVB rays. Hence, you can easily wear it during the daytime. Overall, I found the lip balm good but nothing extraordinary in the market.

Cons Of Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy:
Diva Likes Rating:

Final Note:
It is a good choice for a lip balm which nourishes and protects the lips from dry weather conditions. The delicious smell and properties of cocoa butter make the lip balm stand out completely from other products.
