Maybelline new launches are like Santa Claus's gift in the form of makeup. My joy was boundless to spot the very new launch of the Gold Digger Collection which is another jewel added to the Color Show range after Bright Sparks, Glitter Mania, and Graffiti Collection. Gold Digger Collection has some amazing varieties of gold shades and nothing could have been better than this in the festive season. The 6 shades were nothing but pure indulgence and I had a hard time picking up one for myself. I choose the shade Gold Gluttony which has somewhat similar texture of Graffiti. Read on to know more how the shade fared with me.

My Experience With Maybelline Color Show Gold Digger Collection Gold Gluttony 905:
Packaging: The packaging is exactly like all the Color Show nail lacquers. The top coat is encased in a thick petite glass bottle with a black cap that has the shade name and number inscribed on it. The glass is transparent and hence, it is extremely easy to identify the shade especially when you own a lot similar nail paints.
Applicator Brush: The applicator brush has nicely packed bristles, with medium size and right enough to spread the gold leaves over any top coat without any fuss. It does not streak or gives a messy look, is totally perfectly to spread them evenly and also for picking up the right amount.
Shade: The shade Gold Gluttony is a clear base with numerous golden shards and flecks packed in it. It is meant to be worn on top of a dark base and no wonder it looks gorgeous. I have topped it with a black base as it is somewhat a good old combo. The golden shards are quite bright and perfect for parties and festive season. The coat is such that it will definitely bring some pomp and glitter to the nails.
Texture: The texture of the lacquer is of thick consistency due to the presence of shards. It settles down with a nice semi-glossy look and the golden shards reflect some glossy bright lights. The flecks do not bother the fabrics or seem rough at all.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation, i.e., the shards are enough and densely packed. A single coat gives decent amount while 2 coats are enough to partially fill the nails. With few more coats, you can also wear it like a nail color. No matter how many coats you apply, it never looks messy.
Staying Power: The staying power is around 6 days without any top coat. After 6 days, the shards starts coming off and poke very badly. Therefore, it is necessary to remove it. Removal of the nail color is slightly difficult, just like the Glitter Mania and Graffiti Collection.
Dupe: Upon searching I was astonished to find that this nail paint is a dupe of Dior Diorific Vernis Top Coat in 001 Golden Shock which costs around 20 times of this nail color. Another closest dupe would be Zoya 18k Gold Guilty Pleasures which is also way costly than Maybelline. The price is definitely worth every penny spent on this beauty.

Final Note:
If you love gold nail lacquers, you just can't resist this one. The nail lacquer is a nothing but a sheer beauty and perfect for the upcoming party season.

The idea of nail lacquer is good but they look really harsh. I am amazed that they didnt cause a problem.
