The brand name itself is enough to captivate your attention. My previous experience with Barbie was very good and I loved using their products. This time again, in my Diva Likes haul, I received a lip balm along with a freebie nail polish, which I will review later. Although there is no dearth of lip balms in my kitty, keeping one in every bag is like an obsession now. I can't survive winter without lip balm as I have dry lips and, therefore, I am always carrying one with me. This product is cute and effective as well. Read on to know more details about it.

My Experience With Barbie Lip Balm Strawberry:

It comes in a pink and white packaging and it is as adorable as it can be. The plastic body is sturdy enough. I have carelessly dropped it a lot of times but there wasn't a single scratch on it. The twist up function works properly and it is very easy to use. Overall, I found the packaging efficient, hygienic, travel-friendly and extremely cute.
The lip balm is translucent peach is color and has a strawberry smell. The smell lasts for an hour or so on the lips and the whiff is equally good. The shade, when swatched on the hands or lips, comes off as completely transparent one. I love non-tinted lip balms, so I am perfectly okay with these features. However, tinted lip balm lovers will be slightly disappointed.

The lip balm stick is completely non-waxy and non-sticky one. It applies as a thin layer of balm on the lips and is very well hydrating. One of the most important things is that it helps in peeling off the dry flakes or layer from the lips within 15-20 minutes of application. In general, thick lip balms do this but this one is light yet so hydrating. No matter how many layers I go for, it doesn't look cakey or too creamy on the lips.
The goodness of vitamin E, almond oil and jojoba oil helps in making the lips soft, smooth and supple. I have applied the lip balm underneath matte lipsticks as well and it works like a charm. It has SPF 15 which prevents the lips from pigmentation. It is also paraben free. Another feature is that the lip balm keeps the lips soft and smooth for a considerable period of time even after fading off.

The staying power of the lip balm is around 4-5 hours and I feel the need to reapply it after that. You also need to reapply it after food and drinks which is pretty normal for any lip balm. Pricewise, I feel this is a great product to try and works beautifully for dry and chapped lips like mine.

Final Note:

I heart this lip balm completely. I feel this is the lip balm I always go for when my lips feel extremely dry and need instant smoothness. This is a highly recommended product from my side and a must have.
