Deodorants and perfumes are always the best investment in my opinion. I love the amazing fragrance it imparts to the skin. I always keep changing the deodorants and perfumes but there are few like Nike Gold and Nivea which are permanent in my collection. This time, in my huge New Year haul, I received Dove Whitening Original Deodorant and I have been really hooked on to this one ever since. Dove, as a brand, has very gentle products from soap bars to face washes and it was delightful to use the deodorant. So, let's start with the detailed review of it.

My Experience With Dove Whitening Original Deodorant:
Dove Whitening Original Deodorant comes in a white cylindrical aluminum body which is extremely light weight yet sturdy. It has a blue translucent dome-shaped cap which is quite nice to work with and white nozzle to dispense the product. Overall, the packaging has a very smooth feel to it and is great to travel with. I have often tossed it to my handbag many times and it was comfortable.
Although I am not very good at describing the fragrance but one thing I can say is that it is something very uplifting and energizing, for the daytime. The smell resembles the artificial milk smell of Dove soap bars and is very soothing to the nasal senses. It is sort of a daytime fragrance when you need a calming blend of refreshment yet luscious. The aroma envelopes the pure desire of addictive trail and leaves the skin bewitched of earthy and morning freshness.
After spraying, for 5-10 seconds it does feel slightly strong for my taste but I was glad to see the aroma tone down to a much pleasing one. I have highly sensitive under arms but even though I have sprayed it directly a lot of times, it never caused any burning or itchy sensation. It does give a slight tingling one but it is just because that area is extremely sensitive. It has 0% alcohol and I was more than glad to see this. Alcohol spray doesn't work on my skin at all and hence I find it extremely easy to apply.
Apart from this, it also claims to have vitamin E and F. Vitamin E has restorative properties, soothes the skin to a large extent, is a great cleansing agent and treats brown discoloration on the skin. Vitamin F, which is known as Linoleic Acid, has strong antioxidants which keep the skin soft, supple and also gives a barrier to the skin from harmful elements. Dove Whitening Original Deodorant also has Licorice which is the whitening agent to deal with the discoloration of under arms and has antimicrobial, anticarcinogenic, and antiviral properties. It acts as a protection and shields the skin from UVA/UVB rays to keep your skin bright and fresh. However, the deodorant doesn't deposit any whitish layer to the skin. I can't much say about the whitening effect as I do not suffer from hyperpigmented under arms.
It dries well (takes about 15-20 seconds) and gives a semi-matte finish. It wears around 5 hours in winter but I believe the staying power will be slightly less in the hot and humid weather. You can elongate the wear time by applying Vaseline underneath. Overall, it is good deodorant especially for sensitive skin and performs great.
