Himalaya Herbals has always been a trustworthy brand and most of my skin care items are either from Himalaya Herbals or Lotus Herbals. I have been using the Himalaya Herbals Refreshing Cleansing Milk for years, which I have reviewed earlier and pair it with Dabur Rose Water for toning. Funny thing is, I never realized that the Himalaya Herbals Refreshing & Clarifying Toner existed and is sort of a counterpart of the cleansing milk until before I received the toner in my Diva Likes haul. I immediately incorporated the toner in my daily CTM routine and I have loved the effect on my skin ever since. Read on to know how the product has fared with me.
About Himalaya Herbals Refreshing & Clarifying Toner:
An alcohol-free formulation that deep cleanses pores and refreshes to keep your skin oil-free without over drying. Lentil deep cleanses pores, Citrus Lemon, a natural astringent and cleanser, tightens pores and refreshes and Boerhavia Root extract controls excess oil secretion to leave your skin clear, soft and radiant.
Price:
80 INR for 100 ml
Shelf Life:
3 years
Ingredients List:
Directions For Use:
Add a few drops of Refreshing and Clarifying Toner on a cotton pad and wipe thoroughly over face and neck.
My Experience With Himalaya Herbals Refreshing & Clarifying Toner:
Himalaya Herbals Refreshing & Clarifying Toner comes in a pale blue plastic bottle which is almost opaque but still you can figure out the amount left inside and along with a green flip open cap. It has a medium sized hole to pour out the product on a cotton wipe. The bottle is sturdy yet lightweight and can easily be tossed into a handbag while travelling. I prefer spraying my toner and hence often transfer it to a spray bottle. Overall, the packaging is good and effective.
The product looks just like water with a refreshing fragrance. You won't even notice any sort of foaming if you vigorously shake the bottle. The smell is artificial and resembles a lot like Himalaya Herbals Refreshing & Clarifying Toner I have used before. The smell leaves behind a fresh trail before disappearing into the skin. There is absolutely no sticky or greasy feel after using the product.
The toner claims to be suitable for all skin types and performs well for oily skin. It is an alcohol-free formulation which doesn't dry out the skin yet helps in accomplishing the subtle cleansing and refreshing properties. I generally clean the face with a cleansing milk, followed by the face wash and spray the toner. I let it settle on the skin which makes the pores tiny bit small and gives a glow to the skin (somewhat like a natural highlighter). My pores are negligible and I could see a slight difference in them. However, people with large open pores won't be benefitted well with this one.
It takes off all the residual layer of impurities on the skin and makes it clean and soft. It doesn't make the skin oily at all but I highly doubt how it would be performing on dry skin. The toner doesn't sting or irritate the skin at all, gives a soothing sensation and I experienced no breakouts at all. The ingredients list is quite nice for the product. It has citrus limon which removes the impurities from the skin giving a subtle glow, boerhavia root that controls excess oil secretion to leave your skin soft and lastly lentil that deep cleanses pores.
It is no doubt a great product but it is not something extraordinary. It is reasonably priced and somewhat a perfect skin care for young skin. It might not be well effective for mature skin. I have so far loved toner and have almost finished the bottle. I planning to buy Himalaya Herbals Refreshing Cleanser and Toner combo as they work great on my skin.
Pros Of Himalaya Herbals Refreshing & Clarifying Toner:
Cons Of Himalaya Herbals Refreshing & Clarifying Toner:
Diva Likes Rating:
4/5
Final Note:
If you are in your twenties and looking for an alcohol-free, non-irritating refreshing toner, this is the best choice for the price tag. It has fewer chemicals and perfect to take care of the skin.

I like alcohol free toners. I haven't tried ones from Himalaya. Will have to give this a try.
