My hair has the tendency to dry up, especially the ends and given the fact that I use hair dryer and straightener so much, you can surely imagine the damage. Of late, I try and use the styler as minimum as possible but the hair still remains dry and lifeless. So I was happy to receive the sample of Wella Professionals Elements Renewing Shampoo and mask in my March FABBAG. Wella is quite a well-known brand and not to mention, their products have quite a price tag to bear. I have used the shampoo and the mask together for 3-4 washes and here's my review on the product.
About Wella Professionals Elements Renewing Shampoo:
Sulfate free shampoo that renews the moisture of the hair, preserving and nourishing it from root to tip. Exists in 30 ml, 250 ml, 1000 ml.
Price:
175 INR for 30 ml
Shelf Life:
12 months
Ingredients List:
Directions For Use:
Apply a small amount to damp hair. Massage gently to lather. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. For best results combine with Elements conditioning products.
My Experience With Wella Professionals Elements Renewing Shampoo:
The sample sized product comes in a small chubby tube with a screw cap. The white packaging is very soothing and extremely efficient if you are planning to carry it during traveling. The outlet dispenses the right amount of product and there's no fuss or wastage of the product. The consistency is like a serum, runny but not completely watery. It is absolutely transparent in color. The shampoo has an amazing smell and I feel this is the best part about it. The whiff is light, that of a mixture of floral and fruity. After washing the hair, when the hair is damp you won't get the smell but only a refreshing feel. But, after the hair gets completely dried up, you would notice the whiff of the product on the hair and it's totally enchanting.
The shampoo claims to be sulfate free but it lathers very generously. Sulfate actually dries up the hair and it is really harmful to wavy dry hair like mine. It feels extremely soft and smooth to massage the hair with the product and I saw that massaging it for around 5-10 minutes gives an excellent result. Unless you have applied a heavy layer of oil, skip shampooing the second time. The shampoo thoroughly cleanses the scalp of every layer of dirt, grime, and greasiness from the tresses and makes the scalp squeaky clean without drying it up.
The product is also easy to wash off from the hair without the slippery feeling. Firstly, my hair felt extremely smooth due to the cleansing properties and dried up pretty fast. Secondly, the curls were enhanced beautifully. After a long time, I saw my curls behave so nicely without having a mind of its own. It controls the frizz from the first day itself without any leave-in conditioner. Lastly, there was a mixture of hydration, volume, and bounce in the hair which was stunning. I also noticed a healthy shine but I believe the combination of shampoo and hair mask (which I will review separately) did the trick.
Overall, I loved the shampoo like anything. You know they say that it takes time for a product to show the results but from the first wash itself the shampoo performed so well and my dull hair never felt so smooth and shiny. The price tag is surely quite high but honestly, if I get such results, I won't mind spending the amount at all.

Final Note:
I just couldn't deduct marks for the amazing results I got from this shampoo. It cleanses, enhances, hydrates and makes the hair so smooth that you would love your tresses instantly. I would highly recommend the product if you want a hydrating yet volume boosting shampoo and trust me, it is worth the splurge.
