Hello, sweeties! My experience with Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon Midnight Rose was fabulous and so I wanted to try out few more. I bought two shades and one of them is Peach Me. Summer is all about the peaches and oranges when it comes to lip colors. I had too many orange lip colors and also they look a bit stark at times and hence I wanted to try out the peach color. Peach has quite a beautiful undertone and goes pretty well with my skin tone. These crayons are very long wearing and let's see how this lip color worked on me.

My Experience With Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon Peach Me 08:
Packaging: The lip crayon comes in a chubby pencil body with a transparent cap. The body is color coded and it doesn't take time to identify the shade in case you have several of these lip colors. It has to be sharpened and comes with a free sharpener. I have a slight issue with the cap because every time I try to shut it, either the tip gets nicked or the color is smeared all over the cap, looking like a real mess. Call me weird but I prefer my makeup products neat and clean. These are lightweight and can be carried anywhere but you have to be really carefully while recapping it.
Shade: The shade is a beautiful peach color with an undertone of subtle pink. Under strong sunlight, it leans slightly on orange part but most of the time it is more of a peach pink shade. Hence, it is slightly difficult to define the shade. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful color for fair to medium Indian skin tone. This is the first lip color I have used so far which neither looks too bright nor too subtle and that's where the beauty lies. You can wear it like a stain or simply for special occasions without looking too loud. The color is highly recommended for this summer.
Pigmentation: It is insanely pigmented and the rich color payoff is something I love about these lipsticks. Just a single coating is enough to bring out the fullness of the color and it is up to your choice to go for a second coat to define it more. However, the texture is slightly tricky and hence you can't go more than two layers which will start to look cakey. It transfers very lightly and I don't think that would be much of a problem.
Texture: The texture is thick, creamy and glides like butter on the lips. I love the texture as it gives a fuller effect to the lips without even lining it beforehand. Due to the matte formula, you have to prep and scrub off the dead cells, which is pretty standard for most of the matte lipsticks I have used so far. The formula is not very hydrating but will not make your lips dry and parched for sure. You can also apply lip balm underneath for extra moisturization.
Finish: The finish is powder matte and gives me that 'Kylie lip effect' which I really like. It will not accentuate on fine lines unless you have very dry and chapped lips. To prevent that, simply apply lip balm and it will be taken care of. I really like this kind of finish and they are pretty long lasting.
Staying Power: As I have mentioned before, these lippies are pretty long wearing colors and they hardly get removed. It stays on my lips for around 5-6 hours with small snacks and drinks and needs re-touches after heavy meals. It gets removed from the center of the lips once you consume oily foods. For the price, I really love the texture as well as the color.

DeleteHi salomi my skin tone is typical Indian that is wheatish and some pinks make my face appear dull and darker...would you recommend this shade for me??
ReplyDeleteHey Chahat, I think the color would suit you because it has the hint of peach-orange. However, if orange doesn't suit you, I would ask you to skip it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Salomi...
