Exercises are a must for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It tones up the body, reduces the risk of chronic diseases, improves flexibility, strengthens muscles, relieves stress etc. Problems relating to our health and body could easily be solved by following a good exercise routine. But when it comes to our face, cosmetic surgeries seems the only possible solution. However, cosmetic surgeries can do more bad than good. We have seen so many examples of celebrity cosmetic surgeries gone wrong. There are less than 50% chances that we achieve the desired results. That's too much of a risk right? Not to forget so many precautions and side effects we face for a lifetime. Exercising came as a rescuer for our face too. There are so many problems like wrinkles, double chin, sagging, dark circles etc. related to our face which could be treated with regular face exercises and without opting for cosmetic surgeries. Here are some common face problems that we encounter in our day to day life and exercises that can help us to solve them. 


Exercises To Remove Double Chin 

Heavyweight people are more prone to double chin. Double chin is very annoying and ruins the shape of our face. It occurs when the muscles of face and neck are not toned and properly developed. By following the below mentioned exercises, you can start noticing the results within a month. 


Exercise 1: 
  • Raise your head and look towards the ceiling.
  • Hold for 5 seconds then drop your head and look towards the ground.
  • Hold for 5 seconds, then return back to normal position.
  • Repeat it for 30 seconds. 
Exercise 2:
  • Raise your head and look towards the ceiling.
  • Try to stretch the muscles of the lower jaw as tight as possible.
  • Hold for 5 seconds then come to the normal position.
  • Repeat it 10 times. 
Now repeat the steps of exercise 1 for 30 seconds and you are done. 

Exercises For Face Toning & Removing Cheek Fat 

Contouring techniques are in this season which makes your face more toned and sculpted. Chubby cheeks give the impression of the heavier face. Now we can tone and shape our face muscles by following simple exercises regularly.


Exercise 1:
  • Close your mouth and puff up your cheeks.
  • Hold for 10 seconds and release.
  • Repeat it 10 times. 
Exercise 2: 
  • Remember in childhood we used to make fish faces. This is a great face exercise to tone your cheeks. Make a fish face and hold for 5 seconds. 
  • Repeat it 10 times. 
Do exercise 1 followed by exercise 2 every morning and evening and you are done. Results will get visible within 10 days. 

Exercises To Remove Under Eye Dark Circles & Bags 

Eyes are the most important feature of our face. Under eye dark circles, bags and puffiness take away the glow and make our face to look dull. There are several reasons behind dark circles and puffiness but biggest ones are the lack of sleep and tiredness. Although it takes a lot of time and effort but still you can keep your dark circles controlled by the following exercises. 


Exercise 1:
  • Put your middle fingers at the corner of eyebrows.
  • Now gently start tapping in circular motions on the area around eyes.
  • After this move anticlockwise. 
  • Repeat the clockwise and anticlockwise circular moves for 15 minutes. 
Exercise 2: 
  • Dry massage under eye area every day for 5 minutes before going to bed. 
  • Be very gentle as the skin under eyes is very delicate and prone to damage. 
Repeat exercise 1 in the morning and exercise 2 every night regularly. You may need to do this for a couple of months to start noticing the results. 4. 

Exercises To Remove Wrinkles 

These exercises will improve the circulation of blood in your face area which provides proper nourishment to the cells. This imparts a healthy glow on face. Also, these exercises will stimulate collagen making your skin tighter and supple. 


Exercise 1: 
  • Tilt your head up facing towards the ceiling. 
  • Make an "O" shape with your lips covering all your teeth. 
  • Now try to smile widely and hold for 10 seconds. 
  • Repeat it 10 times. 
Exercise 2: 
  • Place both your hands on your forehead and spread your fingers. 
  • Now move your fingers outwards across the forehead applying a little pressure. Repeat it for 30 seconds. 
  • Relax and repeat 5 times. 
Exercise 3: 

  • Open your eyes as wide as you can as if you are surprised. 
  • Hold it for 15 seconds then relax. 
  • Repeat this 5 times. 
Follow exercise 1 with exercise 2 and 3 respectively and start noticing the results after 2-3 months. 

Apart from these exercises, there are some yoga asanas like padmasana, dhanurasana, ustrasana, halasana etc. that depart healthy glow to the face.
