Hello, everyone! It has been raining cats and dogs in my city and I am in love with the weather. I have already shared the preview of the Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red collection and it was super fun to try out these shades for myself. Red is such a color that goes with everything but also you have to keep in mind about the intensity of the color to coordinate with the events you are going with. The shade in question is nothing short of a rockstar which looks stunning. Do you want to know more about this? Scroll down to read my experience with it.

My Experience With Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Creamy Matte Cosmopolitan Red:
Packaging: Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Creamy Matte lipstick comes in a sleek matte black packaging with a reddish band wrapped around its body. The lipstick has the same old twist function and the cap shuts with a click. The name of the lipstick is written on the bottom and the twist up function works properly. The packaging is something very extravagant but I loved the simple matte black touch to it. Also, it is light weight and you can slip it in anywhere for traveling.
Shade: The shade is a cherry red color with neutral undertones. The color is a very close match to MAC Ruby Woo (when you dab a powder on top) with a slight deep layer to it and thus it looks more bold than bright. Among all the four, this cherry red color is surely one of my favorite picks. It will be flattering on every skin tone.
Pigmentation: The color has stunning pigmentation. With a single swipe, it deposits almost full saturation of the color and second stroke is enough to make it look neat and proper. Also, you do not need lip liner underneath but if you want that fuller look, you can try wearing this with a lip liner. Rest assured, the color won't bleed at all.
Texture: The texture is what the brand describes 'creamy matte' and thus it glides on the lips like a dream. Though it won't bother much if you have dry lips, still I would recommend exfoliating and also prep the lips well because the color isn't very forgiving. The color doesn't bleed or feather at all and as a texture, it is really good. It will not accentuate on the fine lines or give an uneven texture for a red lipstick. It will never dry out the lips over time.
Finish & Formula: The finish of the lipstick is satin or moist matte, but not entirely matte. I have used the original Color Show ones and compared to it, you can call it matte. It still retains a sheen on the lips but you can surely fix that with a dab of powder to bring on the dry matte look. The formula is good, without bleeding, but it does transfer a lot if you don't set it with a powder.
Staying Power: The lipstick has a very good staying power of around 5 hours on my lips without primer or lip liner. It has the habit of staining the lips and thus, even if it budges or fades after heavy meals, the red tint remains throughout the day unless you use an oil based remover.

Final Note:
I love the shade. I have been eyeing for the MAC Ruby Woo for a long time but I don't think I will be buying that anytime soon because these four reds are enough to slay the red lips like a diva! If you love reds, you just can't deny having this little beauty in your kitty.
