Online Shopping Experience & Beauty Haul From Aplava

I can't remember the last time I went out and bought something – especially makeup and skin care. Firstly because I don't get much time to visit shops, plus they don't have all the brands under one roof (I don't have Sephora in my city) and secondly whatever little time I get, I like to sleep in that. But the 'lazy me' loves to shop and the only solution is online shopping! There is no doubt a number of online shops are available in India but I would like to see more of it dedicated to makeup and skin care (makes my life easier!) And today's post is dedicated to the new kid on the block – Aplava! Yes, it is online shopping site where you can get skincare, haircare, bath and body, makeup, fragrance, sun and travel, intimacy, shaving, candles and aromatherapy, mom and baby and home care. Lavanya sent me a pretty haul from Aplava and here's my overall shopping experience.

The Name "Aplava"

Aplava derives its name from Sanskrit origins. Aplava (pronounced "Aap luv" in original Sanskrit) means 'taking a bath to purify oneself'.

User Interference and Navigation

The user interference was really good when I browse through the site for the first time. You simply need to sign in and a bonus of 125 points is added to your account which you can redeem when you will shop. Navigating from one section to the other was rather easy and comfortable. You can use the Search sign on the extreme right of the navigation bar and look for any specifics. The sidebar has various filters to make the search easier. Overall, the interference was appealing.

Personalized Beauty Service

Since this is dedicated online shopping website for beauty, Aplava has the "Personalized Beauty Service" which is really unique and nice. There is a short quiz which has been designed by a team of professional Dermatologists and Beauty advisors at Aplava which would recommend you the products based on your skin type and needs and would help you create your own personal beauty profile. Thus, there would be a very small chance you would end up with wrong products.

Overview Of Products

They have included some nice high-end brands which is a great thing but some drugstore brands are surely missing. I believe it would be great if they can really improve on that behalf. This goes both for makeup and skin care products.

Shipping Policy, Returns & COD

Aplava delivers to over 4000 pin codes within India. The delivery charges are free on orders of 999 INR and above. Below that amount, fixed delivery charges of 50 INR is applicable. They also have a 10-day return policy upon receipt of the order and are quite prompt when it comes to customer care. They also provide for a COD for most of the pin codes.

My Haul From Aplava

Aplava ordering and delivery were quite swift and I got my package within a week or so. One thing I really liked is that the day I received the package it was raining cats and dogs in Kolkata but still, the delivery guy delivered me the package even at 8 PM at night, which was impressive. The box was well covered and every product was bubble wrapped and I received my package in a proper condition. The products are 100% genuine as promised with the proper date of manufacture.
